    Description: The diet quality and type has a great role in aquatic animals and leads to increase of resistance against diseases and good growth . Cultured andornamental fish do not access to live and selected food due to captivity condition. Threfore, they should be provided with complete diet similar to natural food in captive condition. Carotenoid pigments are responsible of flesh pigmentation of edible fish and skin color of ornamental fish. The accumulation of this pigments in fish tissue has a greate importance in marketing and hence due to lack of its synthesis, carotenoids shoud be added to diet of cultured fish. As the synthetic carotenoids are harmful to the environment , there is a greate interest to use natural carotenoids in ornamental fish diets to obtain bright color. This study was carried out to compare the effects of diets containing Artemia urmiana and Phallocryptus spinosa supplements and commercial feed on growth and survival of goldfish fingerlings , quality of skin color, amounts of total carotenoids , Astaxantin, Canthaxantin and beta-carotene inCultured Carassius auratus during 90 days. The culture medium were contained glass aquaria in controlled condition and suitable for goldfish growth with 12 L: 12 D photoperiod and water temperature of 28 ± 1 oC. 3 test groups were included: treatment 1 fed with concentrate diet , treatment 2 fed with concentrate and frizzed Phallocryptus spinosa with tha same concentrations and treatment 3 fed with concentrate and frizzed Artemia urmiana with the same concentrations . Each treatment contains 2 replications and each replication consisted of 30 goldfish. . In this study, The amounts of total carotenoids using spectrophotometer modelWPA , astaxantin, canthaxantin and beta-carotene using HPLC model Younglin, UK, were determined in the skin of Carassius auratus at the end of the exprement period. The results revealed that the most growth rate ( GR), specific growth rate and condition factor ( CF) were 0.11 ±0.006 , 0.34 ± 0.015 and 3.96 ± 0.10, respectively which due to treatment 3 and the most weight gain and length gain including 8.57± 1.18g and 31.54± 3.33 mm, respectively due to treatment 2 .During rearing period , there was not any significant difference among treatments( p〉 0.05). The analysis of obtained data showed that there was a significant difference between diets containing live food and concentrate diet (p〈 0.05). The results revealed that live food enhanced skin color of Carassius auratus compared to concentrate diet . Also, the most pigmentation obtained from the diet contained fairy shrimp. As, in concentrate, concentrate and fairy shrimps, concentrate and Artemia diets amounts of total carotenoids at 450 nm wave length were 1.09, 3.90 and 2.07 mg/100 , asthaxantin were 84.57, 205.82 and 102.24 ng/g and canthaxanthin were 0.24, 35.79 and 30.64 ng/g and carotenoid were 34.73, 138.78 and 69.77 ng/g, respectively. The use of fairy shrimp compared to Artemia in the diet can be significantly increased the amounts of carotenoids especially asthaxanthin in the skin of goldfish(p〈 0.05). Therefore fairy shrimps can be used as a suitable for artemia and high cost synthetic pigments to enhance color of ornamental fish.

    Description: The aim of this project is to study the growth and age structure in the Caspian trout, comparison with other coldwater species and check the trend of these parameters in recent years. This study was conducted during 2013 till 2015. Totally, 43 specimens for back calculation and 101 specimens for biometrical study of the Caspian trout have been caught in two month period. Biometric parameters such as length, weight and age of the fish were recorded. Base on Back calculation method in 1393, the average length of fish at ages 1, 2 and 3 years old were 18.98 ± 3.5, 30.5 ± 7.24 and 41.7 ± 9.1 cm. So these age groups are under the adult age and don’t approaching to near the beach and rivers for spawning behavior. Therefore, these length groups cannot be observed in catch composition. The result showed, the mean of gonad weight in this fish was about 11 percent of total weight and number of eggs per gram of gonad calculated about 10.8 numbers. Minimum age and maximum age of this species determined 4 years and 7 years (mean = 5.6) and the most frequency allocated to 5 age group and the frequency of 6 and 7 years has been remarkable. The average length of salmon was 69.2 ± 6.2 cm (minimum 57 and maximum 81 cm) and the average weight was measured 3323 ± 677 g (2400 to 5600 g) in the catch composition. Growth parameters such as k, L∞ and ø’ was measured 0.18, 104 cm and 3.289 respectively. The amount of b for relation length and weight was 2.9 which imply negative allometry. L∞ and growth coefficient (K) on the Caspian trout were acceptable range, that it shows good growth the fish in the sea water. Most of the fishes were catched from Cheshmehkileh River. As at present Shilat uses just the broods of the Tonekaboon region for restocking of this species, we recommend using the broods of the western region separately for rehabilitation of the stocks of this region.

    Description: For the first time in research program and species diversity the white legged shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) was introduced in Iran in 2005 by Iranian Fisheries Research Organization. In two recent years two projects was carried out successfully in Hele Research Station and according of these projects study of growth, survival rate and final harvesting of Litopenaeus vannamei impact of 25, 35 and 50 (per/m2) stocking densities was done .Nine 0.4 ha earthen ponds were stocked from 26 June 2006 to 11 November 2006 and the rate of stocking was 100000,140000 and 200000 Pl in 25, 35 and 50 per /m2 respectively. We also carried out daily test of pH, temperature and dissolve oxygen two times per day but transparency, depth and salinity one time per day. The mean weight in 120 days was 17/84±2/6, 16/03±1/9 and14/09±2/3 grams in 25, 35 and 50 per /m2 respectively and highest weight was seen in 25 density. Results demonstrated that there was a significant relation (P〈0.05) between mean weight. The yield were 1745, 2055 and 2425 kg/pond although 4/3, 5/1 and 6 ton/ha in 25, 35 and 50 per /m3 respectively. The maximum and minimum survival rate 97/96 and 88/46 was seen in 25 and 50 per/m2. The minimum FCR 1.43 was seen in 25 per /m2. For economical calculating just by using the cost of larva and feeding indicates that the highest benefit percentage was seen in 25 density. The average of salinity, pH, temperature and dissolve oxygen were 36.1-37 ppt, 8.1, 30.2-30.6 degrees centigrade and 5.9- 6.4 mg/l.

    Description: In order to investigation effect of protein level on growth and carcass characteristics of rainbow trout, the experiment was carried out in complete ransoming design. The treatments were 1, 2, 3 and 4 which contained of 40, 45, 35 protein percent and commercial diet contained 40 % protein respectively. Four repeat were maked in each treatment. This experiment were conducted on 4000 juveniles rainbow trout with initial average weight of 24-26 gr, for 180 days after antiseptic processes in 16 little pound of 1.5x 6m on fish farming of Morvarid-E-Dimeh in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province. The diets were formulated with local material which can providing nutritive requirement of fish in different stages of growth. The feed were given 3 times a day on biomass basis of little pound. In the during of experiment, once every two weeks, after anaesthetize 10 percent of fishes in each little pound were measuring about weight and length and the data were taken. At the final of experiment for determination of crud protein, fat, ash and dry matter, fish carcass were analyzed by AOAC procedure after removal of fins, fill gut and head. The results showed which feed conversion ratio affected by protein levels, and the best was in treat 2, which have been significant differences with others. Also weight and length fishes were affected by the rations and the differences were significant, as the largest length and weight were due to treat 2 and the least were in treat 3, which there were not significant differences between treat 1 and 4. Although, the diet protein level had effect on carcass chemical composition, but the differences were not significant.

    Description: The biochemical composition of three groups of seaweeds; green (Ulva lactuca and Enthromorpha intestinalis), brown (Sargassum illicifolium and Colpomenia sinuosa) and red (Hypnea valentiea and Gracilaria corticata) from the Persian Gulf and the effects of seaweed extracts (SWE) either as a supplement or as an alternative media to the f/2 medium on the growth and composition of two microalgae Isochrysis galbana and Chaetoceros muelleri cultured as live food for Penaeus indicus larvae were investigated. Results showed that seaweeds were relatively high in carbohydrate and ash, but low in lipid. Lipid content in green seaweed was significantly higher than both the red and brown seaweed (P〈0.05). Protein content of both red and green seaweed was notably higher than brown seaweed (P〈0.05). The red and green seaweed had the highest proportion of saturated fatty acids, while the brown and red seaweed had the highest proportion of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids, respectively. The mineral compositions in seaweeds were found in the sequence of K〉Mg〉Fe〉Zn〉Mn〉Cu〉Co. The study clearly showed that the two microalgae I. galbana and C. muelleri could be successfully cultured using the various SWE either as a supplement or as an alternative to the f/2 medium. Since no major changes were found in most of the measured growth parameters, proximate composition, important polyunsaturated fatty acids and mineral content following culture of the microalgae with SWE as an alternative media, it was concluded that the SWE evaluated in the present study are able to provide the necessary nutrients for microalgae growth and could be used as a low cost nutritive media in establishing microalgal populations for use in aquaculture operations. The present study found that when shrimp larvae were fed on microalgae (exclusively or mixed) that had been cultured with SWE as a supplement media, they molted faster to mysis 2 (MII) stage compared to larvae fed on microalgae cultured with conventional f/2 media (Control). Maximum final total length, survival rate and specific growth rate were recorded for shrimp larvae fed on microalgae diets that included SWE as a supplement in the culture media compared to shrimp larvae fed the control diet. The overall growth performance clearly showed that P. indicus larvae were successfully reared using microalgae diets tested, and the shrimp larvae fed on mixed microalgae (I. galbana + C. muelleri) showed better larval growth, survival and development than those that were fed on single microalgal diet. Furthermore, similar larval growth, survival and development were obtained when shrimp larvae were fed with microalgae cultured with SWE as a substitute media to f/2 medium. In conclusion, microalgae cultured with SWE could potentially be used as a low-cost alternative method in producing live food for the hatchery production of shrimp larvae.

    Description: Economical achievement of optimal growth in developing countries may lead to sustainable poverty reduction .Agricultural activities plays an important role in economy and human being welfare which leads to establishment of food security and quality. Aquaculture products in developing countries share 51.4 percent of total agricultural production and 24.7 percent in developed countries. Therefore undoutedly food production by means of quality and quantity has to be increased .The history of shirmp production goes back to 500 years ago. Today 50 countries of the world produce shirmp .In Islamic Republic of Iran shrimp production started since 1992 in the coastal region of persian Gulf. The shrimp culture farms canbe classified in to 4 different categories ; Extensive, semi-extensive , intensive and super instensive. Global ecological manitenanc is one of the major conern of authorities Human manipulation of nature is the most destructive activity. Industrial swage leakage in to the rivers and water sources is a big issue that cause reduction in the aquatic population. Heavey metals has an inhibitory effect in the production and growth of sealife. Human intake of food treated with anti microbial causes allergy , hypersensitivity and develop microbial resistance. Organochlorine compounds contamination may found in hepato pancreatic tissues of aquatic products, Aresnic may transfer to man via plant & animal product contamination . In 1991 during persian gulf war 700 oil well set ablazed. Approximately 50 million tons of crude oil leaked to gulf. Aflatoxins may cause cancer in man. Drug residue investigation for the first time started in 2000 with cooperation of AFSSA food agency france sampling frame according to EEC 96/23 has been designed. One sample per each 100 tons of shrimp selected randomly. Study has conducted in two consequent years (2000-2001) each year 42 sample from shrimp farms collected for laboratory monitoring of group A and B list of drugs, 35.7% and 64.3% respectively for each group. All samples were collected under field condition into a suitable containers for the laboratory analysis of each group. Only one sample is positive to aflatoxin B1 which has been isolated from the muscle of the shrimp samples.All the samples for detection of velexinary drug and residue delection has been conducted according to EU 96/23 directives. For analysis screening test by microbial inhibition test high performance liquid chromatography peformed. Confirmatory tests based on LC/MS utilization to detect different analytes. Mycotoxins detection test is validated and followingly hgih performance liquid chromatography has been used. In conclusion antibiotic and heavy metals results were negative throughout analysis , only one positive sample for aflatoxin B1 has been detected. Estabishment of further investingation for determination of residue in shrimp food is suggested. A and B group druges of all samples were sent to AFSSA france mycotoxin analysis conduted in a private labotory of IR.Iran. the samples were analized according to E.U recommendation screening performed by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)

    Description: Distribution of freshwater shrimp (Macrobrachium nipponense) in the freshwater ecosystems such as Alagol, Almagol, Ajigol lagoons, Gomishan lagoon and Gorganrud River. Sampling were done from may 2009 to my 2010 parameters such as, length frequency, growth rate, sampling, feeding, environmental factors and sedimentation were investigated. 3689 females and 8551 males were collected and biometrical parameters were recorded. Total length ranged between 3.2 to 98.7 mm. The parameters b of length-weight relationship in Alagol, Almagol, Ajigol were 3.49, 3.15, 3.45, 3.22 and 3.22, 3.28 for male and female, respectively. It shows in all lagoons for male and female growth is positive Allometric. Spawning period was from May to June. The length first at maturity (total and/or carapace) for three lagoons was 50.5 mm and 133 mm, respectively. The minimum and maximum of egg volume were 0.12 mm3 in Ajigol and 0.07 mm3 Alagol, respectively. The relationship between fecundity and length was found to be linear regression models for Alagol, Ajigol and nonlinear regression models for Almagol lagoon. Result showed that this species is omnivorous. The minimum and maximum temperature was 6.5ْ C in fall and 33ْ C in summer. The lowest and highest fluctuations of pH level in Ajigol and alagol lagoons were 8.2-9.2 and 7.2-9.8. Among three lagoons, the most EC was 5.9 Ms/c in Alagol lagoon. The Gorganrud River shows the maximum EC, 16.7 Ms/c.

    Description: Medicinal plants have been used in oriental medicine for centuries. Echinacea purpurea (Asteraceae), also known as the purple coneflower, is an herbal medicine with positive effects on various immune parameters that has been used customarily as a treatment for the common cold, coughs, bronchitis, upper respiratory infections, and some inflammatory conditions. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of Echinacea purpurea (EP) extract on a non-specific immunity of Mugil cephalus. Three hundred and sixty Gray mullet larvae with average weight of 0.75 ± 0.02 g and an average length of 4.40 ±0.81cm collected from Ramin port where is located at 5 km far from the Chabahar and finally transferred to lab of trial in Offshore Research Center. This research was designed based on 4 treatment, Each with 3 replicates. The major factors examined containing growth factors mainly consists of average weight, average daily gain, protein efficiency rate, protein productive rate, hematological and biochemical factors including globin, albumin, total protein, lysozyme, ultimately, immunological factors, and respiratory burst and phagocytosis percent. In general, the results of this study showed that the addition of 100 and 200 mg of EP extract per kg of diet led to a significant increase in growth parameters (final weight, food intake, daily growth rate and efficiency of protein), hematology (RBC, WBC, Hb, Hct) and biochemical factors (total protein, albumin, globulin) in gray mullet were compared to control. The highest lysozyme activity, immunoglobulin, phagocytosis and respiratory burst was observed in treatment containing 200 mg EP extract per kg food. Treatment containing 200 mg EP extract per kg food showed a minimal mortality after challenge with bacteria photobacterium damselae compared to the control treatment. Finally, the present results suggest that diet containing 200 200 mg EP extract per kg food could improve growth, hematology, immunity and resistance against photobacteriosis of grey mullet.

    Description: One of the most important bacterial fish diseases which has caused some outbreaks in rainbow trout farms in Iran is streptococcusis .The farmers were suffering from huge economic losses due to the disease outbreaks in different rainbow trout farms in Iran. The aim of our study was to determine rate of streptococcusis incidence in different stage of growth in farmed rainbow trout in Mazandaran and Fars province. Fish and water samples were randomly collected and measured randomly in selected farms, monthly throughout a year. After clinical observations, Isolation and recognition of strep strains were made using biochemical and molecular tests. Some Environmental factors include Nitrate, Nitrite, Temperature, pH, Ammonia and DO measure during sampling periods. According to our results incidence of disease in juvenile is more than growers. Some samples showed clinical singe of streptococcusis without strep. Contamination .Main isolated strain were S.iniae and S.garviea and S.uberis recognized for first time in east of Mazandaran province (Haraz River). Incidence of streptococcusis in rainbow trout affected by fluctuation of Nitrite, temperature and DO. Management of these factors can decrease rate of disease outbreaks.

    Description: Hamoun fish, Schizothorax zarudnyi, is an indigenous species of the eastern waters of Iran. 331 Spawners weighing 800-2450 g were collected from the Chahnimeh reservoirs in early autumn, 2006. from 5/3/2007 ( the project is supported and communicated on 2010) , Ovulation was stimulated with three stimulators; pituitary extract (3-6 mg kg-1 body weight), GnRH-A (20-30 mg kg-1 body weight) and anti dopamine (10-15 mg kg-1 body weight) that was given in 2-3 doses to breeders.Of 169 injected breeders , some were injected On mid March of 2007 (12-13 ºC water tempreture) responded to the injection 25% ,while the rest were injected On April of 2008 (14-16 ºC water tempreture) responded to the injection 65%. In the present project of 167 breeders 82 were female and 87 male. Totally 30 female breeders released their eggs in different stages. 20 female breeders released their eggs completely, 3 breeders released half of their eggs and 7 released 1/3 of their eggs. Larvae were fed with a mixture of powdered milk and egg yolk in this stage followed by decapsulatedArtemia cysts and nauplii of Artemia and then on formulated starter diets used for carps. Because the ponds were not ready, larvae were maintained in troughs for about ten days before they were transferred to two 1200 m2 earthen ponds where they reached a body weight of about 1 g. Larvae were fed with the starter feed SFCO in the earthen ponds. About 350 thousand larvae were stocked in two earthen ponds. Based on the results of present study and other studies we may conclude that artificial breeding in Schizothorax can be successfully achieved at 14-16 ºC in flow through systems using hormone therapy (combination of GnRha and anti dopamine) and larvae could be easily cultured in earthen ponds. However this species exhibits lower growth rates as compared to carps its high expenses could have an important role in economical feasible. Farming of Indian white Shrimp P.indicus in 4 private farm was done in 2008. Surveillance and monitoring of these farms, the possible obstacles to the harmful effects of management strengths and weaknesses and develop in the future was done in corporation of Offshore fisheries research center of Chabahar and fisheries of sistan and baloochestan. First crop was successful, but the shrimp of Nursery pond and second crop due to the occurrence of white spot disease (WSSV) disease and casualties were died and did not actually do the work. The average minimum and maximum feed conversion in Culture period 1.46 and 1.96 respectively, in C2 _31 and C2 _ 14 farms wereobserved. Maximum production was 41,376 kg in farm C2 _31. The rainfall on 14 August severe flooding and water supplying cussed suddenly fall down of Inland channel water salinity at day 16-20 th August to 4-5PPT and the PH go up to 8.8-9. after 2 days the white spot disease in South of site was confirmed and was transferred immediately to the north of site .( the pilots farm). The results showed that shrimp farming can be done in two periods in year with a predetermined .In this study the only factor that could have adverse effects on the project was Feed supply problems during the growing period and the consequences that it caused low average body weight and final harvested Shrimp resulted to delay in daily growth. 30000 juvenile Indian majour carps (LabeoRohita,Cirhinusmerigala, Catlacatla) imported (2007 and 2008) and transferred to the earthen ponds in Astaneh Fisheries Research Station (Gilan ) and SheibanResaerch center (Khozestan) , In order to assess the viability of rearing fry up to 1 gram fingerlings under the climatic condition of north and south part of Iran . Growth parameters from the larval stage to 1 g were studied also .The fry with 300 mg weight, were released in to 3ponds. Results have indicated adaptations and considerable growth in this species, with an increase from the initial weight of 300 mg to an average of 13.5±1.6 mg in 50 days period until the end of November for fingerlings.Catla was gain 1 g. during 15 day while Roho and Merigal were gain 1 g. during 14 and 10 days respectively. Results revealed that the Indian majour carps compatibility with the condition in Gilan province was succesfull and the combination of species and optimization of their compatibility specialy in other provinces like Sistan and Baluchestan were remind for futhre studies.

    Description: Considering increase in production of earth ponds in brackish water condition, this research carried out at bafgh fisheries research station to improve efficiency and production of brackish water cultural earth ponds of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). This study was performed in four 0.5ha earth ponds in two treatments with two replications. Each treatment included two earth ponds so that fish farmed in two culture mediums consisting open medium and %20 enclosure medium of pond (pen medium).for this purpose 20% of earth pond s space separated via a fixed net wall with 15mm in mesh. In this research some main growth equations and economical factors were studied. Data were analyzed using SPSS software, Pierson, Toki, Dankan, Dant analysis and also descriptive statistics. The significant differences were determined in %5 level. Since there was a connection between pen medium with free one, no signs based upon disturbance observed in measured environmental factors in this space. Statistical results indicated a significant increase in %WG, %FE, % SGR, %CF and final biomass in pen medium treatment(p〉0.05). According to economic results, this treatment also differed significantly from open medium treatment about ratio of marketable size production and net income so that yield quantity and production income increased. Therefore, through pen culture in 0.5 ha earth ponds and likely larger ones, utility and production of farm improve and can be a good approach for farmers in order to better exploitation of possibilities and facilities.

    Description: This study was set up to investigate the nutritional value and the optimum inclusion level of one Iranian cottonseed meal i.e. var. Pak, (CSMP) as a substitute for soybean meal (SBM) in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) feed. Apparent digestibility coefficients (ADC) for these varieties were calculated in experiment 1 by using an indigestible marker (chromic oxide). Six formulated feeds consisting different substitution levels (0, 20, 40, 60, 80, 100%) of SBM with CSMP, CSMS, and CSMA, respectively, were fed to a total of 540 rainbow trout with initial mean body weight of 50 ± 5 g. Fish were randomly stocked into eighteen 100 L. fiberglass tanks with 30 fish per tank and 3 tanks per diet and fed to satiation 3 times a day for 8 weeks. At the end of each separate experiment, 3 fish from each replicate for each dietary treatment were sacrificed to measure the whole fish body proximate compositions and liver gossypol content. After an 8 week feeding trail, the average weight gain, FCR, SGR, PER, DWG, PWG and CF of fish fed with different diets were measured separately. For all treatments, the survival percentage was more than 98%. Results showed that 100% and 80% CSMP showed in better growth in each experiment and 100% CSMP wasthe best in weight gain (104.3 g), FCR (1.5) and SGR (1.25%).

    Description: Nowadays, medical plants extract is used in aquaculture industry to enhance growth, immune system and fish resistance to different pathogens. In this study, some non-specific immune responses, hematology and biochemical parameters in rainbow trout juveniles (16 gr mean weight) and their resistance to Streptococcus iniae were evaluated following oral administration of Echinacea purpurea and Astragalus sp. extract. Three concentrations (0.5, 1 and 1.5 gr/kg of feed) of Echinacea purpurea and three concentrations (2, 3 and 5 gr/kg of feed) of Astragalus sp extract and control group were used for 60 days. Parameters evaluated included: levels of C4, C3 (complement components), free oxygen radicals (respiratory burst), Lysozyme, numbers of lymphocytes, monocytes and neutrophils. In the end, the relative survival rate (RSR) of fish was evaluated against S. iniae. The results showed that the levels of C3, lysozyme, oxygen free radicals, the number of neutrophils and lymphocytes in the experiment groups (the highest dose) compared to control group were increased significantly (p 〈0/05). While, the values of C4 and number of monocytes compared to the control group were not significantly different (p〉 0.05). The relative survival rates of fish following challenge with Streptococcus iniae, were 91/11, 93/33 and 44/44 percent in experiments (Echinacea purpurea and Astragalus sp.) and control groups, respectively. In conclusion, it may be state that Echinacea purpurea and Astragalus sp. extracts enhance the non-specific immune system and fish resistance against Streptococcusis, and it seems it can be used as immunostimulant in feed.

    Description: To investigate an economical diet for white pacific prawn (Litopenaeus vannamei) rearing coastal zones of south Iran, 9 experimental diets were prepared considering three protein (37%, 37%, 40% CP) and three digestible energy (262, 312, 362 kcal. 100g-1 DE) levels, using herbal protein source (soybean meal) as main protein source for the diets. 27 polyethylene round tanks (300 L volume) provided with aerated flow-through water system, stocked with …juvenile shrimps (9.16 ± 0.05 g mean weight) were applied to evaluate the growth performance of the shrimps and feed efficiency parameters of the diets for 8 weeks rearing period in an in-door experimental system. Results showed the diets were significantly different (P≤0.05)in the terms of growth performance and diet efficiency the shrimp, while the best obtaining observed in diet 1 (34% CP and 262 kcal. 100g-1 DE). Average of weight gain was ranged from 4.58 ± 0.52 g in Diet 9 up to 6.88 ± 0.81 g in diet one, SGR was from 0.73 ± 0.06 in diet 9 to 1.00 ± 0.09 in diet one, survival was from 75.00 ± 7.07 % in diet 9 to 95.00 ± 5.00 % in diet one and FCR was from 5.02 ± 0.94 in diet one to 8.24 ± 1.59 in diet 9. Diets did not effectively influenced the body composition of the shrimp (P〉0.05). According to the results of the present study, 34% Cp and 262 kcal. 100g-1 DE could be suggested as suitable levels to be considered in the diet of the white pacific prawn in the grow-out stage.

    Description: A feeding trial was carried out where, three protein concentrations [45%, 55% and 65%, crude protein (CP)] was fed to yellow fin sea bream (Acanthopagrus latus) fingerlings at three dietary energy concentrations [20, 22and 24 Kj g-1 crude energy (CE)] ,to determine the protein and energy requirement for this species. Triplicate groups of 20 fish (average weight 12±.2g) was each stocked in 300-L fiberglass tanks and fed twice a day to apparent satiation. After 8 weeks, the survival was independent of the dietary treatments, but the average fish weight gain (AWG), specific growth rate (SGR), food conversion ratio(FCR) and feed efficiency ratio (FER) were significantly affected by dietary protein(P 〈 0.05). Protein retention (PR), Viscera somatic index (VSI) and intraperitoneal fat ratio (IPF) were affected by dietary energy level (P〈0.05).Grass energy retention (GER) and Condition factor (K) were affected by both dietary protein and energy levels(P〈0.05). daily feed intake (DFI) was not affected by dietary protein and energy concentrations( P〉0.05). PER, PR, GER,VSI and IFR increased with the increase of energy from 20 to 24 Kj g-1 at the same protein level. Carcass moisture, fat and ash contents were affected by dietary protein and energy levels( P〈0.05). Carcass energy content increased with increasing dietary energy, but carcass moisture was decreased with increasing dietary energy from 20 to 24 Kj g-1.. It was concluded that the optimum dietary protein and energy level for growth of juvenile yellow fin sea bream maybe 562-574.7 g kg-1diet and 21.9- 24.56 Kj g-1 respectively.

    Description: The dynamics of Artemia population of Urmia Lake was investigated to provide the technical information, which is necessary for sustainable management of Artemia in Urmia Lake. The study covers different aspects comprising of monthly estimation of Artemia biomass and cysts, annual evaporation of Lake water, average precipitation in catchment areas and also water turbidity in Urmia Lake, during the 2004-2007. Results showed dramatic decline in the Artemia population compared to the previous years, Reduction of average annual precipitation and increased water usage in Urmia Lake catchment area during last decade, has reduced the annual quantities of flowing waters to the Lake. Although the estimated trophic state index (TSI) which indicated the mesotrophic condition during the studied period, therefore, exceeding salinity to higher than the saturated level had adverse effects on phytoplankton growth. Furthermore, nutrient transfer by the rivers to the lake caused to produce of halophilic bacteria and other obtrusive protozoas which has created very unsuitable condition for Artemia grazing. These events confirm the role of salinity as a major environmental factor that affects Artemia resources in their natural habitats. It can be proposed that a method to manage the lake ecosystem and its Artemia population through construction dividers, such as dikes between the north and south parts of the lake to reduce the salinity at some parts of Urmia Lake will be applicable.

    Description: 500000 juvenile Indian majour carps (Labeo rohita,Cirhinus merigala, Catla catla) imported (2004) and transferred to the earthen ponds in Shahid Ansari Carp Breeding Center , In order to assess the viability of rearing under the climatic condition of north part of Iran and also achieve some growth parameters from the larval stage to market size.The fry with 300 mg weight, were released in to 8 ponds.specimens were separated to tree experimental categories: 1= (Labeo rohita) , 2= (Cirhinus merigala) , 3= (Catla catla). fishes were fed with artificial food and also with the natural products of the ponds which were enriched with organic fertilizers, after being equally stocked in the ponds .During the experiment, oxygen level ,PH, turbidity, and temperature were measured . Monthly fry samples were taken, for weight and length biometrical analysis and also determination of the weight gain percentage, average daily growth rate, specific growth rate. Results have indicated adaptations and considerable growth in this species, with an increase from the initial weight of 300 mg to an average of 13.5±1.6 mg in 50 days period until the end of November for fingerlings. Also the average weight of growing phase (second year of production) was 647g. For Labeo rohita ,420 g. for Cirhinus merigala and 734g. For Catla catla. The special growth rate(SGR)in Roho was 4.51 %.and 3.9 % for merigal and6.2 % for Catla while for Chinees carps SGR was 4.9, 6.7, 7.6 and 5.8 for silver carp,grass carp, common carp and big head respectively. Results revealed that the Indian majour carps compatibility with the condition in Gilan province was succesfull and the combination of species and optimization of their compatibility were remind for further studies.

The culture period was 6 month in the Khuzestan province. Once every 45 days by using signebeach net samples were taken from ponds and biometry tests were done.The maximum net production was observed at 50% situated treatment, with average weight 723. 3 kg per 1700 m2 ponds (4254. 9 kg ha). There is no significant differences between experimental treatments with each other and with control (P 〈0. 05). Mean final weight of Rohu in 3 experimental treatments were 1136, 1129 , 1054 g and in Catla and Mrigal were 726,902, 839 g and 773,788,894. There was not significant diference between them (P 〈0. 05). Survival rate in Rohu, Catla and Mrigal was 92%, 97% and 86% respectively. The maximum specific growth rate (SGR) of fish related to Catla (1. 92) and the minimum SGR of fish was observed in Mrigal (1. 45) .Also in accordance with the results of this study, the Indian carp fishes can able to adapt, grow and reach to market weight in the khuzestan province's weather conditions.
