Syntheses and Structure Analyses of Iodocuprates(I). XIII. Structures of Iodocuprates(I) with the cations [Na(H2O)4]+, [Rb2H2O]2+, [(NH4)2H2O]2+, and [Cu(NH3)4]2+NaCuI2 · 4H2O 1, Rb2Cu2I4 · H2O 2, (NH4)2Cu2I4 · H2O 3, [Cu(NH3)4](CuI2)2 4, are prepared by reactions of NaI, NH4I, or RbI with CuI in aqueous solutions. The crystal structure analyses of 1 (monoclinic, C 2/c, a = 1224.5(2), b = 1329.3(2), c = 557.1(3) pm, β = 103.27(4)°, z = 4), 2 (orthorhombic, P212121, 763.5(2), b = 1164.9(3), c = 1464.9(4) pm, z = 4), 3 (orthorhombic, P212121, a = 749.0(2), b = 1147.3(2), c = 1431.0(2) pm, z = 4) und 4 (triclinic, P1, a = 692.4(2), b = 716.0(2), c = 732.3(2) pm, α = 93.84(2)°, β = 104.85(3)°, γ = 105.99(3), z = 1) show that all compounds contain chains of edge sharing CuI4 tetrahedra ∞1[CuI4/2]-. The Na compound is built up by parallel rod packings of chains of edge sharing octahedra ∞1[Na(H2O)2/1(H2O)4/2]+ and tetrahedra ∞1[CuI4/2-]. In the Rb and NH4 compounds the cations are coordinated by seven I atoms of three different anion chains and one molecule H2O forming bicapped trigonal prisms. The planar coordination of the [Cu(NH3)4]2+ is completed to a tetragonal bipyramide by two I atoms.

NaCuI2 · 4H2O 1, Rb2Cu2I4 · H2O 2, (NH4)2Cu2I4 · H2O 3, [Cu(NH3)4](CuI2)2 4, wurden durch Umsetzung gesättigter Lösungen von NaI, NH4I und RbI mit CuI dargestellt. Die Kristallstrukturuntersuchungen von 1 (monoklin, C 2/c, a = 1224,5(2), b = 1329,3(2), c = 557,1(3) pm, β = 103,27(4)°, z = 4), 2 (orthorhombisch, P212121, 763,5(2), b = 1164,9(3), c = 1464,9(4) pm, z = 4), 3 (orthorhombisch, P212121, a = 749,0(2), b = 1147,3(2), c = 1431,0(2) pm, z = 4) und 4 (triklin, P1, a = 692,4(2), b = 716,0(2), c = 732,3(2) pm, α = 93.84(2)°, β = 104,85(3)°, γ = 105,99(3), z = 1) ergaben, daß alle Verbindungen Tetraederketten vom SiS4/2-Motiv ∞1[CuI4/2-] enthalten. In der Na-Verbindung bilden Oktaederketten ∞1[Na(H2O)2/1(H2O)4/2]+ zusammen mit den parallelen Tetraederketten Stabpackungen. In der Rb- und NH4-Verbindung sind die Kationen jeweils von 7 I-Atomen aus drei unterschiedlichen Anionenketten und einem Molekül H2O in Form von zweifach überkappten trigonalen Prismen koordiniert, während die planare Koordination des [Cu(NH3)4]2+ durch 2 I-Atome zu einer tetragonalen Bipyramide erweitert wird.
