By the oxydative hydrolysis of the phosphorus sulphides P4S3, P4S5, and P4S7, phosphorus oxyacids with P—P bonds are produced. The following ions are formed: phosphite, phosphate, pyrophosphate, hypophosphate, triphosphate (V, IV, IV), and triphosphate (IV, III, IV). As a further substance with a P—P bond, diphosphorus tetrajodide, P2J4, was submitted to the oxydative hydrolysis, too.

Bei der oxydativen Hydrolyse der Phosphorsulfide, P4S3, P4S5 und P4S7, entstehen erwartungsgemäß Oxosäuren des Phosphors mit P—P-Bindungen. Es werden folgende Verbindungen gebildet: Phosphit, Phosphat, Pyrophosphat, Hypophosphat, Triphosphat (V, IV, IV) und Triphosphat (IV, III, IV). Als weitere Substanz mit P—P-Bindung wurde das Diphosphortetrajodid der oxydativen Hydrolyse unterworfen.
