Beschreibung: Stock assessment of Urmia Lake Artemia between 2000-2001 revealed intense decreasing cysts and biomass compared the previous years. Reducing annual rain falling from 32 to 18 cm in west Azarbayjan province lowered fresh water entrance from 4 billion m3 to 1.8 billion m3 to the lake as in 2001 the water volume reached to 6 billion m3 . Decreasing more than 2 billion m3 water volume of the lake per year with increasing the evaporation rate and existence of 5 billion tons salt inside the lake increased water salinity from 17% (1999) to 23.3% (2001) with max- min range of 250-258 ppt without any differences between the seasons. Mean transparency measured with Sechi disk was 138 cm (maximum 215 in Autumn and minimum 51 cm in Spring). Annual mean of water temperature 15 with fluctuation of 6 in winter to 22.13 in Autumn. this study, Artemia (different life stages) and phytoplankton were sampled by planktonic net from 12 suit stations which were selected from 36 sites used in previous Artemia stock assessment project done by Gent University, 1995. Phytoplankton sample identified and counted using identifying key and microscopic study. Results showed that in winter, the number of cysts per cubic meter 756 (minimum) and 2015 (maximum) in Autumn, with annual mean of 1000.m-3. Minimum 0.7 g.m-3 biomass wet weight (without cysts) were obtain in winter while the maximum (9.22 g.m-3) was in spring. The numbers of different nauplii stages per cubic meter with range of 0.03 in winter to 9.22 in spring( mean of 2.46) and juvenile stage per cubic meter were between 0.05 in winter to 1.16 in spring( mean= 0.66). It's showed higher percentage of larval stages in spring toward to higher juvenile and adults stages in summer to mid-autumn. Only Dunaliella and Nitzschia were identified but Dunaliella was dominated ( 95% of total identified phytoplankton with higher abundance, 31000 cells.L-1 in spring season(especially in May and June). Total biomass concluding cysts in studied year was 2700 tons( 30 tons cysts and 2670 tons other biomass which with 10% harvestable biomass,3 tons cysts and 267 tons other biomass could be harvested without any diverse effects on Artemia stock. Cysts and biomass were found more in central to southern part of the lake . The best season for cysts harvesting were Autumn follow by Spring and for biomass harvest were Summer follow by Autumn.

Beschreibung: Shadegan wetland is located in the southwest of Iran and consists of three parts water: Fresh water, tidal-coastal zones and salt water. Climate is warm and dry. Although Surface of Wetlands is different seasons, but the study area is approximately 126945 hectares. Water quality in Shadegan Wetland is brackish water to salt and the hardness of the water component is hard to classify. The BOD5 of water is shows relatively clean to be suspicious. Values of pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen, BOD5, nitrite, phosphate, ammonia and TSS than the previous year are decreased and in this study salinity has increased electrical conductivity, total hardness, TDS and nitrate. In this study have been identified 42 genuses of phytoplankton in four groups: Bacillariophycea (diatoms), Cyanophyceae, Chlorophyceae and Dinophyceae that's diatoms are the most dominant. Also 24 genuses of zooplankton have been identified in four groups: protozoa, Rotifer, Copepod and Cladocera that are rotifer are the most dominant. Doraq and Atish stations have the most of abundance of plankton. Phytoplankton biodiversity is greatest at stations Rgbh and Atish. The average annual primary production 610 gC/m2 /year and its placed the middle class on fertility. Average annual primary production in the phytobenthose 486 gC/m²/year and the average monthly range of chlorophyll a and primary production 0.54-11.65 mg/m² and 0.1-3.45 gC/m²/day respectively. The amount average chlorophyll a is greater in Gargar, Maleh and Rgbh stations. The size of the wetland sediments had not important role in the phytobenthose production. The survey identified that 14 groups of macro benthic that’s Chironomidae families have the highest frequency. The highest and the lowest frequency in Atish and Doraq stations respectively. In the all stations have high SiltClay and organic matter in sediments is more in Maleh station from other areas. Macro benthos of the Rgbh and Atish stations more presents of the larvae that’s resistant to pollution of Chironomidae. Assessment of fish stocks of the common carp pond shows that the highest biomass (52.63 kg per hectare) and lowest Shiq fish (0.33 kg per hectare). The highest biomass are in autumn (337.17 kg per hectare) and lowest in summer (83.19 kg per hectare) and the average amount of biomass in total during the year were calculated 197.57 kg per hectare Shadegan Wetland. The amount of fish is obtained about 2.62 in Shadegan, which indicates the moderate wetland condition. The most of species spawning season are overlapped with each other, which occurs in winter and spring. The length - weight of fish indicating their growth is isometric.

Beschreibung: Demersal resources in the Gulf of Oman are one of the main objectives for both industrial and traditional fisheries. In order to implement a rational management of these resources; the research project of “stock assessment of demersal resources in the Gulf of Oman” were carried out as a monitoring survey in 2003 The objectives of project were: 1) Identification of catches composition of demersal fishes 2) To estimate the biomass and CPUA of demersal resources 3) To determine the distribution pattern of commercial fishes 4) To determine the ratio of commercial, non-commercial fishes and amount of bycatches The studied area was restricted to the borderline with Pakistan in Gwatr (61 25 E) in the east and strait of Hormuz (57 00 E) in the west and isobath of 100m in the south, covering depths of 10 to 100 m with a total area of 1700 nm2. The R/V Ferdows-1, a stern trawler equipped with a fish bottom trawl was used for sampling. To collect the catch data, 107 stations were selected in a random stratified design distributed in different depths and area. The total area was stratified to 7 primary strata, and 4 different sublayers of 10-20, 20-30, 30- 50 and 50-100 m. The swept area method was used to assess and estimate the amount of biomass and CPUA (catch per unit of effort). The total catch was classified to 3 main groups of: a) The commercial demersal fishes, b) The non-commercial demersal fishes c) The non-demersal group The total biomass of all groups was estimated 88346 tons of which 52478 tons belonged to jellyfishes. In this year there was an unpredictable and high bloom of jellyfishes scattering in all area of the Gulf of Oman. The total biomass of fishes was estimated 35808 tons of which 19391 tons were commercial fishes. Meanwhile the amount of non-commercial fishes was calculated about 15102 tons.

Beschreibung: The present study was carried out on the basis of data collected from the catch of beach seine operating in the southern coast of the Caspian Sea for two species carp (Cyprinus carpio) and roach (Rutilus caspicus) in 2015 – 2016. Besides, the changes in patterns of recruitments were evaluated on the basis of the historical catch statistics and the released number of the two species which taken from the G.D office of Golestan province. The age structure and length-frequency distribution of the two species were determined. The largest catches of carp and roach belongs to the age groups (5, 6 and 1, 2) year olds, respectively. In order to estimate the growth pattern of the two species, the length-weight relationships were determined. The von Bertalanffy growth parameters (L∞, K and t0) and mortality were calculated by the ELFFAN I method using FiSAT program for two species. The von Bertalanffy growth equation obtained was Lt=75. 72 (1-e (-0. 12 (t+0. 5)) in 2015 and Lt=72. 75 (1-e (-0. 13 (t+0. 26)) in 2016 for carp and Lt=30. 82 (1-e (-0. 27 (t+1)) in 2015 Lt=24. 92 (1-e (-0. 5 (t+0. 35)) in 2016 for Roach. The estimates of von Bertalanffy growth parameters were compared with the carp populations in other areas. The total coefficient of mortality (Z) using the linear curve method of fishing was estiamted 1. 3 years for carp and 0.86 for roach in both years. The natural mortality (M) using the Pauli experimental formula was calculated 0.23 years in 2015 and 0.24 years in 2016 for carp and 0.5 years in 2015 and 0.46 years in 2016 for roach. The biomass of two species carp and roach was estimated 96.7 and 68.4 tone in 2015 and 4.8 and 21.8 tone in 2016, respectively.

Beschreibung: The present project was aimed at determining the content, quality, and purity of β-carotene extracted from Azolla filiculoides in the Anzali Wetland, comparing it with synthetic β-carotene, and measuring its economic value. One treatment had β-carotene derived from Azolla filiculoides in the Anzali Wetland through the alkaline hydrolysis method in the summer of 2014. Treatments were kept at 4 °C for one year. Synthetic β-carotene was used as the control. The quality of the treatments was assessed by applying some chemical tests, including the measurement of the content and quality of β-carotene, colorimetry using the Hunter-LAB method, determination of the purity and vitamin A employing high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), estimation of the dwell-time duration at 5°C, and measurement of the solubility of β-carotene in water. Beta carotene of Azolla in the spring extracted to alkaline hydrolysis was11853 mg/kg, in summer was 9935mg/kg, in autumn was 11256 mg/kg and in winter was 11245 mg /kg. Beta carotene of Azolla in the spring extracted to organic solvent was 8347 mg/kg, in summer was 6648 mg/kg, in autumn was 7543 mg/kg and in winter was 7539 mg/kg. The amount of beta-carotene is extracted using organic solvents and alkaline hydrolysis in the summer compared to other seasons showed a significant reduction (P〈0.05). The amount of beta-carotene in the spring were significantly increased compared to the other seasons (P〈0.05). This factor (organic solvent and alkaline hydrolysis) in autumn and winter showed no significant difference (P〉0.05). The extracted amounts of beta-carotene in organic solvents compared to alkaline hydrolysis method in seasons spring, summer, autumn and winter was difference significant (P〈0.05). The results of tests included determining the purity, concentration, colorimetry, compounds soluble vitamins and beta-carotene in organic solvents compared to alkaline hydrolysis significant reduction (P〈0.05). During the shelf life of one year at 5°C, these factors had no significant difference between treatments alkaline hydrolysis and organic solvents (P〉0.05). According to the harvesting Azolla of wetland is not requires special equipment and in terms of time a lot of Azolla can be harvested in a short time and also for the extraction of beta-carotene from Azolla Anzali Lagoon is not requires special equipment, too, have no economic value of raw material, does not require special conditions for growing, doubling in three days, Azolla is rich in beta-carotene, beta-carotene extraction of large quantities of small amounts of starting material, the cost of chemical materials, labor, fuel, Laboratory equipment required and the cost of importing small packages beta-carotene, beta-carotene into the country in terms of economic cost compared to the cost of imported Sigma beta carotene is economical. As shown in Table 5 in the samples prepared by alkaline hydrolysis in comparison with synthetic chemical manufactured by Sigma in terms of colorimetric tests, purity, composition and solubility of vitamins significant difference was not observed (P〉0.05). But, in samples prepared by organic solvents in comparison with synthetic chemical manufactured by Sigma in terms of colorimetric tests, purity, composition and solubility of vitamins significant difference was observed (P〈0.05). According to significant differences between the amount of betacarotene extracted from Azoula wetland compared to other seasons in spring and autumn and winter plant growth in spring Azoula alkaline hydrolysis method for the extraction of beta-carotene wetland and wetland Azolla is recommended.

Beschreibung: The population genetic structure of the Persian sturgeon (Acipenser persicus) in the 2, 3, 4 fisheries regions and Sefidrud River was investigated based on the DNA sequencing method during 2010 – 2013 sturgeon stock assessment in the south Caspian Sea . DNA samples were extracted using ammonium acetate, the quantity of DNA was measured at 260 and 280 nm using spectrophotometry by Nanodrop (ND 1000 model), and the quality was checked by 1% agarose gel electrophoresis. Two sets of mitochondrial gene (D-loop and cytochrom b) after synthesis were used for polymerase chain reaction (PCR). A Neighbor-Joining (NJ) tree was constructed for all haplotypes according to Kimura 2-parameter model using Mega Version 4.0.1, number of haplotypes, haplotype diversity (Hd) and nucleotide diversity and their corresponding variances, genetic divergence overall and between paired populations (Fst) by 10,000 permutations and exact test, the gamma distribution shape parameter for the rate heterogeneity among sites and nucleotide sequence, the historical demographic pattern of A.persicus using neutrality tests and mismatch distribution analysis (D test of Tajima and Fs test of Fu), also the concordance of the observed with the expected distribution under the sudden population model using the Harpending, s raggedness index (Hri) were analysed. All calculations were conducted using ARLEQUIN version 3.11 and DnaSP 4.0. The aligned mtDNA sequences of D-loop and cytochrom b genes were consisted of 500 and 700 base pairs (bp) respectively. 13 and 4 haplotypes were defined, the average haplotype diversity were 0.961 and 0.419, average nucleotide diversity were 0.038 and 0.002, The gamma distribution shape parameter were 0.19 and 0.20 indicating moderate mutation rate heterogeneity among sites in A.persicus. The lowest value of Fst for D-loop gene was calculated between Sefidrud and four fisheries region (-0.002) and the Fst values observed for cytochrom b gene was 0.04 with Nm=5.37 and not statistically significant. The exact test of population differentiation (non-differentiation exact P values) showed significant differences between Sefidrud and other areas (P ≤0.05) for D-loop gene and for cytochrom b gene was nonsignificant (P ≥0.05). The mismatch analysis produced a unimodal distribution of pairwise differences for both genes which was consistent with the sudden population expansion model. Tajima’s D and Fu’s Fs statistics were significantly negative (D= -0.84 and - 0.99, P〉0.01; Fs= -0.220 and -0.079, 〉0.01). ARLEQUIN calculated the value of t as 13.65 and the time since population expansion was estimated to be approximately 1501 years before present based on the mutation rates for the control region and this value for cytochrom b gene t= 0.98 which population expansion time was 7.84 years before present. The results of this study based on D-loop gene showed that population of A.persicus in the Sefidrud River is differ from other studied areas. Therefore fisheries managements of this unique and valuable stock for restocking and conservation of gene pools is strongly recommended.

Beschreibung: Economical achievement of optimal growth in developing countries may lead to sustainable poverty reduction .Agricultural activities plays an important role in economy and human being welfare which leads to establishment of food security and quality. Aquaculture products in developing countries share 51.4 percent of total agricultural production and 24.7 percent in developed countries. Therefore undoutedly food production by means of quality and quantity has to be increased .The history of shirmp production goes back to 500 years ago. Today 50 countries of the world produce shirmp .In Islamic Republic of Iran shrimp production started since 1992 in the coastal region of persian Gulf. The shrimp culture farms canbe classified in to 4 different categories ; Extensive, semi-extensive , intensive and super instensive. Global ecological manitenanc is one of the major conern of authorities Human manipulation of nature is the most destructive activity. Industrial swage leakage in to the rivers and water sources is a big issue that cause reduction in the aquatic population. Heavey metals has an inhibitory effect in the production and growth of sealife. Human intake of food treated with anti microbial causes allergy , hypersensitivity and develop microbial resistance. Organochlorine compounds contamination may found in hepato pancreatic tissues of aquatic products, Aresnic may transfer to man via plant & animal product contamination . In 1991 during persian gulf war 700 oil well set ablazed. Approximately 50 million tons of crude oil leaked to gulf. Aflatoxins may cause cancer in man. Drug residue investigation for the first time started in 2000 with cooperation of AFSSA food agency france sampling frame according to EEC 96/23 has been designed. One sample per each 100 tons of shrimp selected randomly. Study has conducted in two consequent years (2000-2001) each year 42 sample from shrimp farms collected for laboratory monitoring of group A and B list of drugs, 35.7% and 64.3% respectively for each group. All samples were collected under field condition into a suitable containers for the laboratory analysis of each group. Only one sample is positive to aflatoxin B1 which has been isolated from the muscle of the shrimp samples. All the samples for detection of velexinary drug and residue delection has been conducted according to EU 96/23 directives. For analysis screening test by microbial inhibition test high performance liquid chromatography peformed. Confirmatory tests based on LC/MS utilization to detect different analytes. Mycotoxins detection test is validated and followingly hgih performance liquid chromatography has been used. In conclusion antibiotic and heavy metals results were negative throughout analysis , only one positive sample for aflatoxin B1 has been detected. Estabishment of further investingation for determination of residue in shrimp food is suggested. A and B group druges of all samples were sent to AFSSA france mycotoxin analysis conduted in a private labotory of IR.Iran. the samples were analized according to E.U recommendation screening performed by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)

Beschreibung: Due to importance of the color for caviar quality and its export , in this project it has been attempted to identify elements which yield caviar color . In this respect. Some samples of caviar grade 1A and 1B were taken from A.guldenstadti and A. persicus species and a complementary sample of A. Stellatus Species grade 2 , the caviar pigment amounts were measured through HPLC method. To do this , the required materials were collected Simultaneously, Some Samples were taken from southern coast of the Caspian sea in Golestan Province were taken to food Industry institute Laboratory in Tehran Subjected to Axote gas and under darkness . Only a little amount of A. Guldenstadti Caviar grade 1A sample was gained from cold Storage of Shilat Trading Corp. The tests are done with standards of the of the pigments with high purity Such as B- Carotene Lutein , Astazantin,Etc. The chemical Substances and solvents used were obtained from merk and Fluka Companies. Therefore it was Stated that color variety among avarious caviear grads has a meaningful relationship with the quantities of these pigments in various types of caviar. The quantity of B- caroten , Astaxantin and Lutein Pigments were found to be more in A. Guldenstadti caviar than in A. persicus Caviar ,and similarly they are more in caviar 1 A than in 1B in A. persicus and A. Guldenstadti species. As a result , it could be said that there is a significant relation ship between the amount of the pigments and the light yellowish color of the distinct caviar samples analyzed.
