Description: The aim of the present study is the environmental impact assessment of tilapia (Tilapia nilotica) farming in suitable areas of Yazd province. This research was conducted to achieve appropriate use of these resource, employment and development of central less developed regions of Iran along with identifying the human and ecological effects of its implementation in order to minimize environmental impacts as well as economic and social justification. Total area of about 100 ha at 6 farms in selective areas include Tabas (central region), Ardakan (Chahafzal), Mheriz (Bahadoran), Bahabad (Central Region),Taft (Chahbeygi-Dehshir) and Khatam (Tanoore-Lahoor) was assessed in order to tilapia farming and aquaculture industry development. So, impact assessment of this project development in environmental and social - economic parts was considered and Matrix method was utilized for the environmental impact assessment. Based on investigation, accessibility of the region, compatibility with the other land uses, lack of monuments in the area, not covered with the sensitive habitats range, the lack of permanent river flow, low quality of underground water and end up underground water flows in downstream desert and evaporated which result in impossibility of escaping introduced fish from the farm and the use of existing spaces in the first half of the year to product lead to make fewer infrastructure costs and increase revenue, are the main criteria for the sustainable development of this species culture in the area. Considering the executed studies and results of operation phase matrix, it was concluded that there is no considerable destructive impacts related to the project. Therefore due to the fact that 50% of means in rows and columns of the matrix were not less than -3.1 so, we proposed execution of it with rehabilitation plans. Therefore, some strategies and plans to consider reducing the negative effects and enhance positive effects of the project, including monitoring programs, were proposed.

Description: Due to various Physic and chemical factors of rivers leading to the sea, the situation seems different topography and throughput rate initial productions in the different seasons and due to various circumstances physical and chemical rivers leading to the sea, seabed topography in different situation appears to be of primary production in the eastern and western between the Caspian Sea in the season, may be altered.Identifying species and determining the distribution and biomass of the changes and how they are affected by environmental changes and we are environmentally conscious. We also compare the current situation with previous studies, we find that the number and types of plankton biomass have been what it is. During 1392 in spring, summer, autumn and winter, in a study of 8 transects of 40 stations. In each transect from Astara to the Turkmen. 5 stations at depths of 5. 10 and 20 m were selected for sampling. The total number of 182 species from seven branches Bacillariophyta, Pyrrophyta, Cyanophyta, Chlorophyta, Euglenophyta, Xantophyta and Chrysophyta phytoplankton were identified. Including 81 species of Bacillariophyta, 33 Cyanophyta, 25 Pyrrophyta, 31Chlorophyta , 9 Euglenophyta, 1 Xantophyta and Chrysophyta had 1 specie. Most of Bacillariophyta (61 species) was in Autumn and then in winter (48 species). Dominant species of Bacillariophyta were Pseudonitzschia seriata, Rhizosolenia fragilissima, Stephanodiscos sp. , Melosira varians, Nitzschia acicularis and Cyclotella menenghiniana Pyrrophyta was greatest diversity of branches in summer, autumn and winter (19 species), which includes Exuviaella cordata, Exuviaella marina, Prorocentrum praximum and Prorocentrum scutllum. In the autumn density of Cyanophyta was 285/7(± 137/1) cubic meters × 106 and biomass was 95( ± 54) mg per cubic meter) and 18 species were observed. The dominant species in this category were Oscillatoria sp., Nodularia spumigena and Oscillatoria agardhii. Most species of Chlorophyta branche in autumn and winter and summer median region with the highest density at the density of 26/2% and most of it is Binuclearia lauterbornii. Identified as the branches Euglenophyta were Trachelomonas, Euglena and Phacus that were observed in all seasons. In winter, the highest mean biomass was 9( ± 0/818) mg per cubic meter and the highest density of in summer was 0/5 ( ± 0/5) in cubic meters × 106. In winter the depth of 10 meters and surface of Babolsar, Amir Abad and Anzali, a kind of Chrysophyta and in surface of Tonekabon and Anzali a species of Xantophyta were observed that had negligible density and biomass. Studies have shown that density and biomass of Bacillariophyta were 228 (± 471) per cubic meter × 106) and 6157 ± ( 290) mg per cubic meter) respectivity and Pyrrophyta were 28/17( ± 27/14) cubic meter × 106in cubic meters) and 3349 ( ± 336) mg per cubic meter) and Cyanophyta 120/40 (± 123/87) per cubic meter × 106 per cubic meter), biomass (55 ± 57mg per cubic meter) were the branches of the dominant phytoplankton. Abundance and biomass in different seasons have been significant differences (p 〈0.05).

Description: In this research, growth rate, blood parameters and proximate composition of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) cultured in brackish and freshwater were evaluated. Two treatments (brackish and freshwater) in 3 replications were investigated. Six 1.5 m³ fiberglass tanks were used for this experiment, containing 180 rainbow trout specimens with average weight of 47.2±0.1g. Feeding rate in treatments was about 3% of body weight based on water temperature and fish biomass. Total length and weight of fish were measured in 15 days intervals. After 135 days of culture period, some fish samples were transferred to the Lab. Blood were directly collected from the heart. Muscle composition was analyzed for proximate composition. The results showed that the body weight of samples in brackish water was increased significantly after 45 days of culture period. Blood factors including WBC, RBC, Hb, Hct, MCV, MCH, MCHC, lymphocyte, thrombocyte and concentration of K+ ions in fish cultured in brackish water showed a significant increase (P〈0.05). Muscle composition analysis showed a significant increasing (p〈0.05) in fat and dry matter in freshwater treatment, while moisture was significantly higher in brackish water (P〈0.01)

Description: In this study, surface water samples were collected monthly from five stations inclduing Nayband Bay, Assaloye, Dayer, Kabgan and Bushehr from December 2012 to June 2013. Sampling stations were chosen according to data being collected during algal bloom caused by Cochlodinium polykrikoides in 2008. A total of 45 genera of phytoplankton belongs to four classes were totally identified accounting for 53 species of Bacilariophyceae, 32 species of Dinophyceae, one genus of Euglenophyceae, and one genus of Cyanophyceae. Bacilariophyceae with 89.5% was the most abundant family followed by Dinophyceae with 9.03%, Cyanophyceae with 1.25 % and Euglenophyceae with 0.22 %, respectively. The highest phytoplankton abundance was observed in Bushehr and Nayband Bay stations. In addition to statistical tests, Shannon (Shanon-Winner) and dominance indices were investigated. The lowest variability for Shannon index (1.90) was recorded in Bushehr Station in comparison with other stations. The highest Shanon index was in Dayer station (2.90) with the increase of diversity in Dinophyceae. Evidence of coastal pollution in Dayer along with nutrient inputs from land might be effective in increasing the Shannon index. At 80-90% simmilarity, the results of Cluster analysis separated Dayer station from other stations. It seems that a part of uniformity in phytoplankton abundance is affected by the mild conditions of ambient temperature. The total diversity of phytoplankton in the study area was low. The relative moderation of temperature seems to have contributed to the dominance of diatoms. Yet, the increased volume dust (as emerged by the increased dusty days per year) and the introduction of its accumulation in the Persian Gulf waters, along with other pollutants on phytoplankton communities might be underlaying factors for the dominace of diatoms in the study area.

Description: The Guilan province in the north of Iran has witnessed a rapid industrial development in recent years causing pollution of water resources in rivers, wetlands and the Caspian Sea coastal areas. We studied the acute toxicity of Copper and Lead in kutum fingerlings through acute toxicity and M.A.C value determination in summer and autumn 2006. A total of 21 aquariums with a capacity of 30 liters each stocked with 10 fingerlings were used in our experiments with the two metals. Six aquaria and six concentrations of Cu and Pb composed the 18 treatments while 3 other aquaria were used as control. For each treatment, three replications were conducted. The relevant physical and chemical parameters of water during the experiments were measured including pH which was in the range 7-7.5, DH=200-250mg/l (CaCO sub(3)), DO= 80% and temperature which was recorded as 24 plus or minus 1C. Fish investigations were conducted in 24 hour intervals. The results indicated that the lethal concentration (LC sub(50)96h) for Copper and Lead are 1.92mg/l and 252.12mg/l respectively and M.A.C. value for Copper and Lead are 0.192mg/l and 25.212mg/l respectively in the Caspian Sea kutum. Hence, we conclude that Copper is more toxic than Lead for the fish.

Description: Aquaculture is one of the most dynamic activities of agriculture sector, and it seems the most economic part. Additional needs of population to white meat and healthy protein, increase of employment, achievement of foreign exchange sources, and environmental friend ship development are basis for sustainable aquaculture worldwide. Growing rate of aquaculture within last two decades, shows highest level among agricultural products, and have been two digits for many years. Trend of aquaculture development in Iran shows same path, and devoted high share ness of the water bodies. Warm water fish which have highest share in aquaculture production, are mainly produced in freshwater. Warm water fish production in the year 1382 was 61000 tones, and increased to 167000 tons in 1392. These figures for warm water fish produced in 4025 farms with an area of 22323 ha in 1382, and developed to 14615 farms with area of 48697 ha in the year 1392. Production of this fish shows highest amount in the country, and have high economic and export values. Cold water fish, which Rainbow trout- Onchorhynchos mykiss as the main species shows additional growth in various parts of the country, so as the production in the year 1382 was 23000 tones and increased to 143000 in 1392 (one decade). The number of farms was 562 units (89.8 has) in the year 1382, and increased to 1923 units (230 has) in the year 1392, which indicates another sign of fast growing. To achieve sustainable aquaculture in aquaculture, preparation the manuals aquaculture on Best Management Practice, feed and feeding management, Fertilizations and Enrichment, Stocking methods, Pond preparations, Aerations, Site Selection and Farm Establishment, Marketing are considered , preparation of manuals for uxorious parts of production chain is essential. Site selection, Process of establishment of farm, use of mechanization for production, providing optimum oxygen levels, selection of brood stocks , are main parts of responsible aquaculture

Description: In recent years, protected areas have got a lot of attention in fisheries management as a tool for providing an ecological vision. This study was done for identification of sensitive and valuable fishery areas and areas under environmental stress in Mahshar creeks from September 2009 to August 2010. At first level biological parameters including phytoplankton, zooplanktons, macrozooplanktons, benthic organisms, trawl catch aquatic organisms along with physical, chemical and heavy metal in substrate were studied. Samplings were done monthly and seasonally from 8 creeks in Mahshahr region in northwest of the Persian Gulf. In order to determine the level of contamination of heavy metals, normal values (Background value) of various metals in the study area were determined using the average of the previous plus one standard deviation determined factor contamination of metal (Cf) and a total degree of pollution of the estuary ( Cd) based on heavy metals . The amounts of various metals pollution factor (Cf), the following: Hg 〉 Zn 〉 Cu ≥ Ni 〉 Pb ≥ Co 〉 Cd Based on the degree of contamination (Cd), different creek are the form below: Bihad 〈Patil 〈 Ghazaleh 〈 Darvish ≤ Doragh 〈 Zangi ≤ Ahmadi〈 Ghanam Other metals were lower than above standard based on the degree of risk of contamination for aquatic organisms. Also, the degree of toxicity of heavy metals (St), biological production index (Bioproduction Index) in substrate and risk factors (Risk Index) is determined for different creeks. The latest index shows that some metals, such as mercury, zinc, and nickel were at risk level and all creeks in the study had average levels of pollution and Ghanam showed significant pollution of heavy metals. Creeks in the study have muddy substrate. Identified macrobenthos classified based on their susceptibility to stress and environmental pollutants into five ecological groups. Based on annual average of AMBI, all creeks were in ecological group 3 (slightly polluted) except Darvish. In general based on AMBI and BI in different seasons and creeks, 34% of creeks were unpolluted, 34% were slightly polluted and Patil, Zangi, Doragh and Bihad were severely polluted in winter. The detection of bio value and bio sensitivity of Mahshahr costal habitats and also severity of risks and threats expressed by means of measures taken. Positive criteria (potential habitat) and negative (threat factors and indices) in the three Grade 1, 3 and 5 respectively, in the three levels of low, moderate and well classified. Finally, the highest score indicates the most appropriate place to protect the estuaries in the study. The detection sensitivity of the values of biodiversity and habitats of coastal waters Mahshahr and severity of risks and threats expressed by means of measures taken. Positive criteria (potential habitat) and negative (threat factors and indices) in the three Grade 1 ، 3 and 5, respectively, in the three levels of low, moderate and well classified. Finally, the highest score indicates the most appropriate place to protect the estuaries in the study. Darvish, Ghnam and Douragh creeks are most suitable creeks, and Ghanam, are known to protect the weak. And Khvrhayy as severe and ladle on average, and second choice for their protection. Study the possibility of establishing protected areas and enforce protective laws, the level and extent of protection and the scope of protection requires more comprehensive studies in the future. In the second stage of maturation for the reproduction of natural and semi-natural waters and fishing Bandar Imam (hormone injection) has been reproduced. The reproduction of the species Sparidentex hasta and Acantuphagrus laus and grouper in the number of 225,000, 700,000 and 300,000 pieces about 5.2 cm to rebuild fish stocks of the species in the dining area were released . Survival rate of above species at the time of release related collected larvae in one day were highest in Acantuphagrus laus (48.4%). And then Sparidentex hasta (25%) and the lowest survival was in grouper (about 11/72%).
