Abstract The low temperature specific heat ofD-Valine andL-Valine has been measured by differential scanning calorimetry in the temperature region between 77–300K. It was found that an obvious lambda transition at 272±1K. X-ray diffraction crystallographic data showed that no crystal lattice changed C,H,N element analysis proved the high purity of the sample ofD andL-Valine. We propose that the shape of the jump forD-Valine is contributed by the specific heat of electron coupling.
