    Description / Table of Contents: Riassunto Sono stati misurati gli spettri infrarossi di film di silicio amorfo idrogenato drogati con fosforo e boro. È stato studiato l'andamento delle bande di assorbimento dei modi «stretching», «wagging» (o «rocking») in funzione del drogaggio il cui valore è stato determinato con misure Auger. All'aumentare del drogaggio col fosforo ha corrisposto una diminuzione del contenuto d'idrogeno ed un incremento dell'area della banda di «stretching» di Si-H a spese di quella relativa a Si-H2. Analoghi risultati sono stati ottenuti per i campioni drogati con boro. Poiché nessuno spostamento delle bande di «stretching» verso frequenze piú alte è stato osservato, i cambiamenti d'intensità delle bande sono stati attribuiti a modifiche strutturali piú che a variazioni dell'elettro-negatività dell'ambiente circostante il silicio. In particolare, la tecnica di crescita usata sembra aver favorito rispetto alle altre la configurazione di monoidruro, con un conseguente minor numero di difetti.
    Abstract: Реуме Измеряются инфракрасные спектры гидрогенизированных аморфныш пленок кремния, легированных фосфором и бором, выращенных с помощяы метода выпаривания. Исследуется изменение полосы поглощения (типа растяжения и покачивания) при изменении содержания легрующих примесей, которые анализируются методом Оже. При уменьшении легирования, отмечается уменьшение содержания водорода и увеличение момента нулевого порядка для растяжения SI−H за счет SI−H2. Для пленок, легированных бором, наблюдаются аналогичные результаты. Так как не наблюдается сдвиг по частоте в сторону больших частот для растянутых зон, то наблюденные изменения интенсивности зон приписываются изменениям структуры, а не изменениям электроотрицательности окружения атома кремния. В частности, использованная техника выращивания, повндимому, благоприятствует образованию моногидридной конфигурации с наименьшим числом дефектов.
    Notes: Summary The infra-red spectra of P- and B-doped hydrogenated amorphous silicon films grown by means of an evaporation method have been measured. The SiH n stretching and wagging (or rocking) absorption bands have been examined by varying the dopant content measured by Auger analysis. On increasing the doping, a reduction of hydrogen content has been noticed with an enhancing of zeroth-order moment of Si-H stretching at the expense of the Si-H2 one. Analogous results for B-doped films have been observed. Since no frequency shift towards higher frequencies of the stretching bands has been measured, the observed changes of the intensity of the bands have been attributed to structure modifications rather than to variations in the electronegativity in the neighbours of the silicon atom. In particular, the monohidride configuration with an overall decrease in the number of defects seems to be favoured by the deposition technique adopted.

    Notes: Summary The room temperature phosphorescence of crystalline thianthren in the 1.6–3.3 eV energy region has been measured using time delays going from 0.03 to 9.5 ms. The time dependence of the emission spectra which show the presence of three resolved bands, was analysed by means of a numerical best-fitting procedure, and the results obtained have been compared with those predicted by means ofab initio and semiempirical molecular orbital calculations.

    Description / Table of Contents: Riassunto Sono stati misurati gli spettri di riflettività e di assorbimento di film sottili di 7, 7′, 8, 8′ tetracianochinodimetano nella regione spettrale del visibile e del primo ultravioletto. Il grado di purezza dei campioni è stato determinato mediante microanalisi elementale e calorimetria differenziale a scansione (DSC). Gli spettri sperimentali sono stati interpretati sulla base di un calcolo di livelli elettronici con il metodo CNDO seguendo un nuovo schema di parametrizzazione.
    Abstract: Резюме Были измерены спектры отражательной способности и поглощения тонких пленок 7, 7′, 8, 8′ тетрацианоквинодиметана в видимой области и в области ближнего ультрафиолета. Проведено выращивание образцов. Проведены элементный микроанализ и дифференциальная сканирующая калориметрия, чтобы определить степень чистоты. Экспериментальные оптические спектры интерпретируются на основе вычисления электронных молекулярных энергетических уровней в новой схеме параметризации.
    Notes: Summary The reflectivity and absorption spectra of 7, 7′, 8, 8′ tetracyanoquinodimethane thin films, in the visible and near-ultraviolet range, have been measured. Samples have been grown and characterized by means of elemental microanalysis and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) in order to obtain the purity degree. The experimental optical spectra are interpreted on the basis of a calculation of the electronic molecular energy levels by the complete neglect of differential-overlap method in a new parametrization scheme.

    Notes: Summary The dielectric and electronic properties of thianthren (C6H4(S)2H4C6) are determined by means of optical reflectivity, absorption measurements and reflection electron energy loss spectroscopy. The experimental results are interpreted on the basis of a Complete Neglect of Differential Overlap (CNDO) calculation used in three different parametrization schemes. Emphasis is laid on the discussion of the problems which generally affect the analysis of electron energy loss spectra, and a procedure to obtain the complex dielectric function from electron energy loss measurements performed in the reflection mode is suggested.

    Description / Table of Contents: Riassunto In questo lavoro vengono presentate misure di fluorescenza e di tempi di vita su soluzioni di indolo puro ottenute con la tecnica della fluorimetria di fase. I nostri risultati mostrano in modo inequivocabile due tempi di decadimento dell'indolo in soluzione indipendentemente dalla polarità del solvente. I due tempi di vita sono dello stesso ordine di quelli osservati nel triptofano, con un contributo della componente a più breve tempo di vita variabile fra il 4 ed il 6%. Viene data anche una breve descrizione della tecnica della fluorimetria di fase a multifrequenza.
    Abstract: Резюме В этой статье приводятся результаты измерений сдвига фазы флуоресценции и модуляции для чистого индола в широкой области частот модуляции. Наши результаты обнаруживают два характерных времени распада в различных растворах, независимо от полярности растворителя. Отмечается, что обнаруженные два времени жизни по порядку величины совпадают с временами жизни, обнаруженными в триптофане. Вклад в полную флуоресценцию для короткоживущей компонент лежит в области от 4 до 6%. Также приводится описание многочастной фазыи флуориметрии модуляции.
    Notes: Summary In this paper we report measurements of fluorescence phase-shift and modulation data of pure indole over a wide range of modulation frequencies. Our results firstly show two decay times in several solutions, independently of the solvent polarity. The two lifetimes are found to be of the same order of those observed in the tryptophan, with a contribution to total fluorescence of the short-lived component ranging between 4 and 6%. A brief description of the multifrequency phase and modulation fluorimetry is also given.

    Description / Table of Contents: Riassunto È stato studiato l’assorbimento del composto organico di nuova sintesiN-methyl, 2,3-diphenyl, 5-methyl indole su cui sono state ottenute informazioni relative alle sue proprietà strutturali e alla sua densità mediante un’analisi diffrattometrica a raggi X. Gli spettri di assorbimento ottico sono stati interpretati sulla base di un calcolo CNDO dei livelli di energia. I risultati ottenuti mostrano un buon accordo fra teoria ed esperimento.
    Abstract: Резюме Исследуюгся свойства поглощения в новом синтезированном органическом соединенииN-метил-2,3-дифенил-5-метил-индол. Проводится анализ дифракции рентгеновских лучей, чтобы получить структурные свойства и плотность вещества. Оптические спектры поглощения интерпретируются на основе CNDO вычисления уровней энергии. Полученные результаты обнаруживают хорошее соответствие с теорией и экспериментом.
    Notes: Summary The absorption properties of the new synthetized organicN-methyl, 2,3 diphenyl, 5-methyl indole compound have been studied. An X-ray diffraction analysis has been carried out in order to obtain the structural properties and the density of the material. Optical absorption spectra have been interpreted on the basis of a CNDO calculation of the energy levels. The results show a good agreement between theory and experiment.
