Summary Using a two-dimensional linearisation model of lee-waves the author determines the altitudes of maximum updraughts and downdraughts, which with good approximation can be located in the middle between two adjacent nodal lines. The pattern of isolines of the relative humidity in the layer 700 to 600 mb with stability and mean wind speed taken as parameter forms as indicator for the formation of clouds and precipitation after a cold front passage in Vienna and is compared with this simple model.

Résumé Dans un modèle linéaire à deux dimensions pour des ondes stationnaires, on examine les cotes d'altitude des mouvements verticaux les plus forts; pour cela, il faut simplement partager à la moitié la distance entre deux plans nodaux voisins. Ensuite on compare la configuration de l'humidité relative entre les niveaux 700 mb et 600 mb, dépendant de la stabilité thermique et de la vitesse moyenne du vent — pour obtenir une mesure de la formation des précipitations-après le passage des fronts froids à Vienne avec le modèle simple, cité ci-dessus.

Zusammenfassung Ausgehend von einem linearisierten zweidimensionalen Modell für Leewellenstörungen werden die Höhenlagen größter Auf- und Abwinde bestimmt, welche mit großer Näherung in die Mitte je zweier benachbarter Knotenlinien zu legen sind. Mit diesem einfachen Modell wird die Isolinienkonfiguration der relativen Feuchte der Schichte 700 bis 600 mb in Abhängigkeit von Stabilität und mittlerer Windgeschwindigkeit als Indikator für Wolken- und Niederschlagsbildung nach einem Kaltfrontdurchgang in Wien verglichen und diskutiert.
