Notes:
Summary Functional myeloperoxidase contained in granules of polymorphonuclear neutrophil leukocytes or in fixed whole cells can be endocytosed by mouse peritoneal macrophages. Acquired myeloperoxidase was distributed in what we considered to be the secondary lysosomal system and, following a phagocytic stimulation, was delivered to newly formed phagosomes containing the targets.
