Reactions of Ethyl 3,4,4-trichlor-3-butenoate with Amines and ThiolatesThe reactions of 1b via the intermediately formed allenes 2 lead with amines to conjugated products, mainly the E adducts 3, and with thiolates to the nonconjugated compounds 5. When treated with ethylate, the pentachlorophenyl-substituted 5b undergoes ring closure to yield the benzothiophene 7, which is further transformed into 8.

Die Reaktionen von 1b führen über die intermediär auftretenden Allene 2 mit Aminen zu konjugierten Produkten _ hauptsächlich den E-Addukten 3 _ und mit Thiolaten zu den nicht konjugierten Verbindungen 5. Das pentachlorphenylsubstituierte 5b erfährt mit Ethylat einen Ringschluß zu dem Benzothiophen 7, das weiter in 8 übergeführt wird.
