    Description / Table of Contents: Pentacarbonyl[(diethylamino)carbyne]tungsten tetrachloroborate [(CO)5WCNEt2]BCl4 (2) reacts with lithium arylselenolate LiSeR (3) [R = C6H5 (a), 4-FC6H4 (b), 4-CF3C6H4 (c)] with CO-elimination to give the corresponding trans-(arylseleno)tetracarbonyl[(diethylamino)carbyne]-tungsten(0) complexes trans-(RSe)(CO)4WCNEt2 (4a-c). The expected formation of [(arylseleno)(diethylamino)carbene]pentacarbonyltungsten(0) (CO)5W[C(SeR)NEt2] (6) by nucleophilic addition of the selenolate anion to the carbyne carbon atom of 2 was found only in the case of c. Contrary to the corresponding chromium compound, 6c on heating in solution does not rearrange with CO-elimination and C,W-migration of SeR to give 4c. The complexes 4 are also formed by nucleophilic substitution of the halogeno ligand in trans-Cl(CO)4WCNEt2 (5) by arylselenolate.
    Notes: Pentacarbonyl[(diethylamino)carbin]wolfram-tetrachloroborat [(CO)5WCNEt2]BCl4 (2) reagiert mit Lithiumarylselenolat LiSeR (3) [R = C6H5 (a), 4-FC6H4 (b), 4-CF3C6H4 (c)] unter CO-Abspaltung zu den entsprechenden trans-(Arylseleno)tetracarbonyl[(diethylamino)carbin]wolfram(0)-Komplexen trans-(RSe)(CO)4WCNEt2 (4a-c). Das durch nucleophile Addition des Selenolat-Anions an das Carbinkohlenstoffatom von 2 zu erwartende [(Arylseleno)(diethylamino)carben]pentacarbonylwolfram(0) (CO)5W[C(SeR)NEt2] (6)wurde nur im Fall c gefunden. Im Gegensatz zur entsprechenden Chrom-Verbindung lagert sich 6c beim Erwärmen in Lösung nicht unter CO-Abspaltung und C,W-Wanderung von SeR in 4c um. Nucleophile Substitution des Halogenoliganden in trans-Cl(CO)4WCNEt2 (5) durch Arylselenolat liefert ebenfalls 4.
