Description / Table of Contents:
Summary: This report presents numerical results on the feasibility study of the use of in-ice cooling for a power plant. As a result of this type of arrangement, a water pond under ice is formed. The pond size as a function of time for various operating conditions has been computed. The associated problems such as water temperature, power consumption, etc., are also studied.
