Abstract:
Summary The authors give the results of their researches on the extraction of gold(III) with the aid of mercury, in relation to the acidity of the solution, the quantity of mercury, and the period of agitation. The possibility is pointed out of separating the gold(III) quantitatively starting with acid solutions and using mercury in the presence of chlorine water and mercury(II) chloride. The gold content of lead concentrates has been determined. The results obtained have been subjected to statistical analysis and the precision of the method has been verified.
Notes:
