    Notes: Unter Variation der Reaktionsbedingungen wird an homologen racemischen α-Aminopropiophenon-Derivaten mit N-Phenylalkylresten vom Typ C6H5—(CH2)n  -  (n = 1 bis 4) der Einfluß des Phenylsubstituenten an den Alkylgruppen des Aminostickstoffs auf den sterischen Verlauf der Reduktion mit Natriumboranat, Lithiumalanat, Lithium-tri-tert.-butoxy-alanat, Aluminiumisopropylat und Chloraluminiumdiisopropylat untersucht.Aus den Ergebnissen geht hervor, daß Monophenylalkylaminopropiophenone unabhängig vom Raumbedarf der benutzten Kryptobasen zu erythro-Epimeren reduziert werden.Bei der Reduktion von phenylsubstituierten Dialkylamino-propiophenonen mit Kryptobasen geringen Volumens (z.B. LiAlH4) werden Gemische aus erythro- und threo-Epimeren erhalten, deren Verteilungsverhältnis von der Stellung des Phenylrestes abhängt. Voluminöse Kryptobasen (z.B. Aluminiumisopropylat) führen zu Reaktionsprodukten mit threo-Konfiguration.

    Description / Table of Contents: On the Hydrogenation of Δ2-5-IsoxazolonesThe Δ2-5-isoxazolones 1, 5, 8a-c, and 11a, b are opened under conditions of the catalytic reduction to yield β-enamino-β'-ketocarboxylic acids 6a, b. In a second step, the derivatives 8a-c, 11a, b form diazepines 10a-c and pyrazoles 12, 13 by intramolecular cyclization. The structures are elucidated on the basis of the n.m.r. and i.r. spectra.
    Notes: Die Δ2-5-Isoxazolone 1, 5, 8a-c und 11a, b werden bei der katalytischen Hydrierung unter reduktiver Ringöffnung zu β-Enamino-β'-ketocarbonsäuren 6a, b gespalten Dabei cyclisieren die Derivate 8a-c, 11a, b intramolekular zu den Diazepinen 10a-c und Pyrazolen 12, 13. Die Strukturen werden durch NMR- und IR-Spektren bewiesen.

Reactions of 4,5-Dihydro-1,3,5-oxazaphosph(V)olen, VI4,5-Dihydro-1,3,5-oxazaphosph(V)oles 1 react with isonitriles to yield disubstituted 3-imino-4,4-bis(trifluoromethyl)-1-azetines 2 with elimination of phosphoric acid esters. The reaction should proceed via nitrile ylides.
    Notes: 4,5-Dihydro-1,3,5-oxazaphosph(V)ole 1 reagieren mit Isonitrilen zu disubstituierten 3-Imino-4,4-bis(trifluormethyl)-1-azetinen 2 unter Ehmmierung von Phosphorsäureester Eine Nitrilylid-Zwischenstufe wird angenommen.

Polarographic Studies of Acenquinones and HeteroacenquinonesThe polarographic behavior of several new acenquinones and heteroacenquinones in acetonitrile is studied. For all quinones studied, two one-electron reduction steps are observed. For substituted anthraquinones a linear dependence is found between the halve-wave potentials of the first reduction step and the summation of Hammett substituent constants. Heteroatoms shift the halve-wave potentials in the negative direction.
    Notes: Das polarographische Verhalten einiger neuer Acenchinone und Heteroacenchinone in Acetonitril als Lösungsmittel wird untersucht. Bei allen untersuchten Chinonen werden zwei Ein-Elektronenübergänge beobachtet. Zwischen den Halbstufenpotentialen der ersten Stufe und der Summe der Hammettschen Substituentenkonstanten besteht bei substituierten Anthrachinonen eine lineare Beziehung. Die Heteroatome bewirken eine Verschiebung der Halbstufenpotentiale zu negativeren Werten.

    Description / Table of Contents: Transition Metal Chalcogen Compounds, About Dibenzyldithioarsinato-, Dibenzylmonothioarsinato-, and Diphenylmonothioarsinato ComplexesThe preparation and properties of the chelate complexes of the dibenzyldithioarsinate ion with CoII, NiII, and CdII, of the dibenzylmonothioarsinate ion with CoII and ZnII, and of the diphenylmonothioarsinate ion with CoII, ZnII, and CdII are reported. The structure of these transition metal complexes can be determined from electronic spectra and magnetic measurements. The position of the ligands in the spectrochemical and nephelauxetic series is given. The acids H[Ph2As(O)S], H[Bzl2As(O)S], and H[Bzl2AsS2] were reported for the first time.
    Notes: Darstellung und Eigenschaften der Chelatkomplexe des Dibenzyldithioarsinat-Ions mit CoII, NiII und CdII, des Dibenzylmonothioarsinat-Ions mit CoII und ZnII und des Diphenylmonothioarsinat-Ions mit CoII, ZnII und CdII werden beschrieben. Aus Elektronenabsorptionsspektren und magnetischen Messungen kann die Struktur dieser Übergangsmetallkomplexe abgeleitet werden. Die Liganden werden in die spektrochemische und nephelauxetische Reihe eingeordnet. Es wird erstmals über die Säuren H[Ph2As(O)S], H[Bzl2As(O)S] und H[Bzl2AsS2] berichtet.

Ion-Molecule Reactions of (Cyclopentadienyl)nitrosylnickel with σ- and π-Donors in the Gas PhaseUnder suitable measuring conditions binuclear secondary ions appear in the mass spectrum of C5H5NiNO. If several σ- or π-donor molecules L are present, additional ion-molecule reactions occur with formation of the ions C5H5NiL+ as well as of fragments derived from these. Even with inert compounds like n-hexane or cyclohexane reactions are observed by which the ions C5H5Ni(hexene)+ and C5H5Ni(cyclohexene)+ respectively are formed. The relative cross-sections of the ion-molecule reactions as well as the appearance potentials of several secondary ions have been measured and interpreted.
    Notes: Unter geeigneten Meßbedingungen treten im Massenspektrum von C5H5NiNO zweikernige Sekundär-Ionen auf. In Gegenwart verschiedener σ- oder π-Donatoren L finden zusätzliche Ion-Molekül-Reaktionen statt unter Bildung der Ionen C5H5NiL+ sowie davon abgeleiteter Fragmente. Selbst mit inerten Verbindungen wie n-Hexan oder Cyclohexan werden Reaktionen beobachtet, wobei die Ionen C5H5Ni(Hexen)+ bzw. C5H5Ni(Cyclohexen)+ entstehen. Die relativen Wirkungsquerschnitte der Ion-Molekül-Reaktionen sowie die Auftrittspotentiale einiger Sekundär-Ionen wurden gemessen und interpretiert.

Preparations and Reactions of Cyclic Enamines and Imonium SaltsBy reduction of lactams with diisobutylaluminium hydride enamines as well as the corresponding salts can be prepared. The stereochemistry of their dimerisation as well as several reactions with different types of compounds have been investigated. Michael- and Mannich-reactions, also intramolecular, are possible applications. The last method leads to a new stereospecific synthesis of spartein.
    Notes: Durch Reduktion von Lactamen mit Diisobutylaluminiumhydrid können Enamine sowie die entsprechenden Imoniumsalze dargestellt werden. Die Stereochemie ihrer Dimerisierung sowie mehrere Reaktionen mit verschiedenen Typen von Verbindungen werden untersucht. Michael- und Mannich-Reaktionen, auch intramolekular, sind mögliche Anwendungen. Die letztgenannte Methode führt zu einer neuen stereospezifischen Spartein-Synthese.

    Description / Table of Contents: Oxymercuration of Hexamethyl-dewarbenzeneMercuric acetate attacks hexamethyl-dewarbenzene from the endo direction, in methanol a methoxybicyclo[3.1.0]hexenylmercury compound (4a/4b) is formed which may be converted with sodium borohydride to the corresponding compound (5a/5b) free of mercury. With longer reaction times one obtains rearranged products free of mercury by the reaction of 4a/4b in methanol. The intermediacy of a mercury-carbene complex 20 is supported by the isolation of 1-(1-acetoxyethyl)-1,2,3,4,5-pentamethyl-2,4-cyclopentadiene (11) product of the reaction of 4a/4b in methanol and subsequent reduction with sodium borohydride.
    Notes: Quecksilberacetat greift Hexamethyl-dewarbenzol endo-seitig an, in Methanol entsteht eine Methoxybicyclo[3.1.0]hexenylquecksilberverbindung (4a/4b), die mit Natriumborhydrid in die entsprechende quecksilberfreie Verbindung (5a/5b) überführbar ist. Bei langer Reaktions-dauer entstehen aus 4a/4b in Methanol umgelagerte, quecksilberfreie Produkte. Die Isolierung von 1 -(1-Acetoxyäthyl)-1,1,3,4,5-pentamethyl-2,4-cyclopentadien (11) bei der Reaktion von 4a/4b in Methanol und anschließender Reduktion mit Natriumborhydrid spricht für einen intermediären Quecksilber-carbenkomplex 20.
