In this paper, nonequilibrim molecular dynamics (NEMD) was used to simulate liquidflow in microchannels with ‘lotus effect’ coating. Without considering atomic structure andlong-range interaction, we have been dedicated in establishing a two-dimensional geometric modelbased on the coating and studying the behavior of liquid near the inner surfaces of ‘lotus effect’microchannels. The shape of a single pattern in the coating and the thickness of one microchannelwere varied to study the influences of these parameters on velocity profile of liquid in the flowdirection, the maximum of this velocity, and its position perpendicular to flow direction. The properconditions which made the velocity slip of liquid near the boundary layer of microchannelsmaximum and liquid move most fast were decided
