Description / Table of Contents:
Propyniminium Salts - Synthesis, [2 + 2], and [2 + 4] CycloadditionsThe propyniminium triflates 6 are obtained from 3-trifloxypropeniminium triflates 5 by elimination of triflic acid. Reaction with enaminones yields the 2-alkenyl-vinamidinium salts 14 and 18, resp., which result from ring-opening of intermediate cyclobutenes, primarily formed by [2 + 2] cycloaddition. Salts 6a-c undergo [2 + 4] cycloadditions with 1,3-diphenylisobenzofuran and anthracene, but not with tetraphenylcyclopentadienone. These results are compared with the dienophilicity of related iminium- or carbonyl-activated alkynes.
Notes:
Carbonyl-aktivierter Alkine verglichen.
