Notes:
Summary It has been found that urea is capable of forming addition products with a great number of aliphatic compounds of various kind. The partners must have a chain structure the chain being straight or branched within certain limits. As a rule, the chain must contain at least six members or more. Cyclic compounds are generally not added to urea. Processes of separating mixtures of organic compounds can be based upon their different behaviour towards urea. The newly discovered addition products represent a type unknown so far. The structure of their crystals differs from that known from the classic theory of the complex chemistry.
