The Constitution of Silicate Anions in Crystalline 2PbO . SiO2. IIThe structure of silicate anions in the crystalline modification T—Pb2SiO4, M2—Pb2SiO4, and H—Pb2SiO4 has been studied. T—Pb2SiO4 contains mainly anions of the type [Si2O7]6- and, additionally, the anions [Si3O10]8- and [SiO4]4-.
Notes:
The anionic groups in T-, M1-, and M2- Pb2SiO4 are thermally instable and this is the reason for the metastability of these modifications, which change into the polysilicate H—Pb2SiO4 by polymerization of silicate anions.
