    Description: Modern attempts to produce biogeographic maps focus on the distribution of species, and the maps are typically drawn without phylogenetic considerations. Here, we generate a global map of zoogeographic regions by combining data on the distributions and phylogenetic relationships of 21,037 species of amphibians, birds, and mammals. We identify 20 distinct zoogeographic regions, which are grouped into 11 larger realms. We document the lack of support for several regions previously defined based on distributional data and show that spatial turnover in the phylogenetic composition of vertebrate assemblages is higher in the Southern than in the Northern Hemisphere.     Description: For 10,000 years pigs and humans have shared a close and complex relationship. From domestication to modern breeding practices, humans have shaped the genomes of domestic pigs. Here we present the assembly and analysis of the genome sequence of a female domestic Duroc pig (Sus scrofa) and a comparison with the genomes of wild and domestic pigs from Europe and Asia. Wild pigs emerged in South East Asia and subsequently spread across Eurasia. Our results reveal a deep phylogenetic split between European and Asian wild boars approximately 1 million years ago, and a selective sweep analysis indicates selection on genes involved in RNA processing and regulation. Genes associated with immune response and olfaction exhibit fast evolution. Pigs have the largest repertoire of functional olfactory receptor genes, reflecting the importance of smell in this scavenging animal. Wie sich an der Art der Substituenteneinflüsse zeigen läßt, überlagert sich in diesen interionar-mesomeren Salzen der normalen Salzbeziehung gegen- oder mitsinnig eine solche vom Acceptor/Donator-Typus, meist von Redox-charakter. Sie sind keine Pseudosalze, es liegt keine Tautomerje mit Verbindungen mit kovalentem Jod usw. vor. Die Vorstellung vom Wesen der interionaren Mesomerie macht auch den stabilisierenden Einfluß von Pyridin usw. in gewissen Komplexsalzen verständlich.

    Notes: Das UV-Spektrum des 1-Benzyloxymethyl-3-carbamoyl-dihydropyridins zeigt, daß die gegenüber den am Ringstickstoff alkylierten DPNH-Modellen kürzerwellige Lichtabsorption des DPNH auf der glykosidischen Bindungsart des N-Substituenten beruht.  -  Der Ersatz der Carbonamidgruppe durch den Thiazolring führt zu Dihydropyridinen, die durch chinoide Farbstoffe sehr rasch dehydriert werden. Mit Hilfe von Schweinehirn-DPN-ase wird das Nicotinsäureamid des DPN⊕ gegen 3-[4-Methyl-thiazolyl-(2)]-pyridin ausgetauscht. Das gebildete DPN⊕-Analogon läßt sich mit Dithionit, aber nicht auf enzymatischem Wege, zu einem Dihydropyridin reduzieren.  -  Versuche zur Darstellung von DPN-Modellen mit Zinkbindungsvermögen werden mitgeteilt.
