Description:
A mouse macrophage line, J774G8, supports continuous and prolific intracellular growth of Leishmania mexicana amazonensis, the etiological agent of a South American cutaneous leishmaniasis. The intracellular parasites from these infected cultures can be isolated with high recovery rate and purity by simple Percoll gradient centrifugation.〈br /〉〈span class="detail_caption"〉Notes: 〈/span〉Chang, K P -- New York, N.Y. -- Science. 1980 Sep 12;209(4462):1240-42.〈br /〉〈span class="detail_caption"〉Record origin:〈/span〉 〈a href="http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/7403880" target="_blank"〉PubMed〈/a〉
