SUMMARY. At any given temperature level, the rate of oxygen poisoning increases proportionally with an increase in oxygen tension. But the toxicity of oxygen does not bear a proportional relationship to temperature. At a constant low tension, it is more toxic at low temperatures than at high ones and, at a constant high tension, it is less toxic at low temperatures than at high ones.
