Notes:
We report on the design of a regulated bipolar power supply with a continuously variable output range of ±2.4 kV. A simple 0–9 V control circuit allows the simultaneous operation of two ±5 kV regulated power supply modules coupled to a passive resistive adder. This arrangement eliminates the need of polarity inversion. Excellent linearity, very low ripple, and high regulation over the whole range were obtained. © 1995 American Institute of Physics.
