The asymptotic expansions for the Kummer function obtained in the study of the linear response of magnetized Bose plasmas at T=0 K are presented for large and small values of its parameter, thereby displaying the function's asymptotic nonuniformity. The large parameter expansion plays a determining role in the behavior of these Bose systems in the limit that the external magnetic field B→0. This particular expansion is generalized herein and its validity tested by determining the asymptotic expansion for the Hurwitz zeta function.
