Notes:
The title molecule, tert-butyl[2-(3,5-dihydroxyphenyl)-2-hydroxyethyl]ammonium hemisulfate C12H20NO3+.0.5(SO42−), consists of a phenethylamine skeleton in which the N atom is protonated. The ethylamine side chain is in an extended conformation for both molecules in the asymmetric unit. The distance of the N atom from the centre of the benzene ring is 5.1 Å. The molecules in the unit cell are stabilized by N-H...O and O-H...O hydrogen bonds.
