Summary This statistical investigation of structure of convective precitpitation areas by weather-radarmeasurements near Munich, Bavaria, was carried out to get a (mean) frequency distribution of showers and thunderstorms with 1, 2, 3 ... cells. About 50 percent of this investigated sample of convective precipitations consist of one cell. The dependence of the frequency distribution on daytime, season, weather- und orographic situations could not be evaluated from these measurements.

Zusammenfassung Die vorliegende statistische Untersuchung der Zellenstruktur konvektiver Nieerschlagswolken mittels wolkenradar-Messungen (Bildschirmfotos) am Alpennordrand, Nähe München, wurde durchgeführt mit dem Ziel, eine (mittlere) Häufigkeitsverteilung der Schauer und Gewitter mit 1, 2, 3 ... Zellen zu gewinnen. Rund 60 Prozent der untersuchten Stichproben konvektiver Niederschläge bestehen danach aus einer Zelle. Die Abhängigkeit der Verteilung von Tageszeit, Jahreszeit, Wetterlage und Orographie konnte aus diesen Messungen nicht ermittelt werden.
