Summary The earth alkalies and the heavy metals give very difficultly soluble precipitates with naphthalhydroxamate, which can then be determined by titration in alkaline solution with potassium cupri-3-periodate. This titration method can be used likewise for the determination of albumens and various salts in a very sensitive manner.
Abstract:
Résumé Les alcalino-terreux et les métaux lourds donnent avec l'hydroxamate de naphtylidène des précipités peu solubles qui peuvent être dosés volumétriquement avec le cuivre-3-periodate de potassium, en solution alcaline. Avec cette méthode de titrage, on peut aussi doser les protéines et des sels divers d'une manière sensible.

Zusammenfassung Die Erdalkalien und die Schwermetalle geben mit Nap hthalhydroxamat sehr schwerlösliche Niederschläge, welche mit Kaliumcupri-3-perjodat in alkalischer Lösung titrimetrisch bestimmt werden können. Mit dieser Titrationsmethode kann man auch Eiweiße und verschiedene Salze in sehr empfindlicher Weise bestimmen.
