Zusammenfassung Die Silylierung von Aminocarbonsäuren mit N,O-Bis-trimethylsilylacetamid (BSA) zu Trimethylsilyl-(TMS)-Verbindungen wird massenspektrometrisch untersucht. Bei unverzweigtem Molekül wird die Tris-Silylierung erreicht, die schon bei der 4-Aminobuttersäure quantitativ abläuft. Im Falle der Verzweigung wird nur die Bis-Silylverbindung erhalten. Die Massenspektren der Tris-Trimethylsilyl-Verbindungen werden diskutiert.

Abstract Mass-spectrometric studies have been made on the silylation of amino acids with N,O-bis-trimethylsilylaminoacetic acid (BSA) to trimethylsilyl (TMS)-compounds. If the molecule is unbranched, the tris-silylation is obtained, which is already complete by the amino-butyric acid. In the case of branched molecules only bis-silylation is obtained. The massspectra of the tris-trimethylsilyl compounds are discussed.
