Zusammenfassung An einer Reihe unterschiedlicher organischer Verbindungen wurde die Abspaltung von Halogen mit Piperidin untersucht und dabei festgestellt, daß Piperidin zur quantitativen Bestimmung von organisch gebundenem Halogen in vielen Fällen geeignet ist. Es wurden einfache Bestimmungsmethoden ausgearbeitet, die rasch zum Ziele führen und an Stelle der gebräuchlichen Abspaltungsmethoden zu empfehlen sind.

Summary The use of piperidine for splitting off halogen from organic compounds has been demonstrated with various substances and it has been shown that this reaction can be employed for a quantitative determination of the halogen in many cases. Simple and rapid procedures are given which can be recommended instead of the usual methods.
