Zusammenfassung Aus Bodenproben wurden in einem Anreicherungsverfahren mit Pyrazon-haltigem Mineralsalzmedium Bakterien isoliert, die mit Pyrazon als alleiniger Kohlenstoffquelle wachsen können. Sie benötigen neben Nährsalzen und Pyrazon nur Cobalamin zum Wachstum. Pyrazon wird dabei in die entphenylierte Verbindung umgewandelt. Wachstum erfolgt auch mit Antipyrin, Pyramidon und Pyruvat. Die Bakterien sind osmotisch empfindlich. Sie wachsen nicht in Medien mit normaler Konzentration der Inhaltsstoffe (über 1%). In vielen Eigenschaften entsprechen sie Vertretern der Gattung Achromobacter.

Summary Bacteria capable of growth on pyrazon as a sole carbon source were isolated from soil. Only cobalamin was required as a growth factor in a pyrazonmineral salt medium. Pyrazon is metabolized to the dephenylated compound. The bacteria can grow on antipyrine, pyramidone and pyruvate, too. They do not grow on glucose or other sugars. The bacteria are osmotically sensitive. Growth is not observed in media with the concentration of ingredients exceeding 1%. Possibly, the bacteria belong to the genus Achromobacter.
