Conclusions The authors investigate the coagulating action of a uniform electric field on chamotteclay suspensions. There is found to be an optimum value of the electric field strength as the important technological parameter determining the loss of aggregate stability of the suspension. Two-stage electrical treatment changes dilute suspensions to concentrated ones with moisture contents of up to 38.3%.
