Notes:
A model is proposed to account for the regular twisting of radial ribbons in certain polymer spherulites. The model assumes that the ribbons have crystallographically regular fold surfaces and that growth of the ribbons is nucleation-controlled. The model leads directly to a possible mechanism of spherulitic growth in some polymers.
