On the Addition of Bromine to Quaternary Ammonium CompoundsThe addition of bromine to different quaternary ammonium compounds which are important for working of the zinc/bromine accumulator is investigated by melting diagrams and bromine consumption from the gas phase during rising time. Conductivity and viscosity measurements raise to the Walden-product. This gives in relation with Ramanspectroscopy investigations, predictions to the structure and the electrochemical behaviour.

Die Addition von Brom an verschiedene quaternäre Ammoniumverbindungen, die für die Funktion des Zink/Brom-Akkumulators von Bedeutung ist, wird durch die zeitliche Verfolgung der Bromaufnahme aus der Gasphase und die Aufnahme von Schmelzdiagrammen untersucht. Leitfähigkeits- und Viskositätsmessungen liefern das Walden-Produkt, welches in Verbindung mit Raman-spektroskopischen Untersuchungen Aussagen zur Struktur und zum elektrochemischen Verhalten liefert.
