Molecular S(O)PBr. Matrix I.R. Investigations and ab initio SCF CalculationsMonomeric planar S(O)PBr is found in a matrix reaction between the high temperature molecule SPBr and O3. This is concluded from the i.r. spectra and some isotopic shifts. The spectroscopic results are confirmed by ab initio SCF calculations.

In einer Matrixreaktion zwischen dem Hochtemperaturmolekül SPBr und O3 bildet sich monomeres, planares S(O)PBr. Dieser Befund läßt sich aus den IR-Spektren und den beobachteten Isotopenverschiebungen ableiten. Die berechneten Kraftkonstanten entsprechen der Erwartung. Sie werden durch die Ergebnisse von ab initio SCF-Rechnungen gestützt.
