Reaction of TiCl4, ZrCl4, and VCl4 with BenzofuroxaneBy the reaction of TiCl4, ZrCl4, and VCl4 with benzofuroxane in dichloromethane the complexes MCl4 · 2 C6H4N2O2 are formed. According to their vibrational spectra, the benzofuroxane is bonded to the metal via its O atom of the NO group. Whereas the Zr compound has cis configuration, the other two appear to have trans configuration. For the V compound this is also confirmed by the EPR spectrum.

Bei der Reaktion von TiCl4, ZrCl4 und VCl4 mit Benzofuroxan in Dichlormethan entstehen die Komplexe MCl4 · 2C6H4N2O2. Nach den Schwingungsspektren ist das Benzofuroxan über das O-Atom der N—O-Gruppe an das Metall gebunden. Während die Zr-Verbindung eine cis-Konfiguration hat, scheinen die anderen beiden eine trans-Konfiguration zu haben. Dies steht auch in Einklang mit dem EPR-Spektrum des V-Komplexes.
