Description / Table of Contents: Systems of Europium(II) and Strontium Chloride with Alkali and Thallium ChlorideThe phase diagrams of the systems ACl/EuCl2 and ACl/SrCl2 (A = Cs, Rb, K, Na, Tl) were elucidated by means of difference thermal analysis. Compounds AMCl3 exist in the systems with CsCl and RbCl; the high temperature modifications crystallize in the cubic perovskite type, at lower temperature deformation varieties exist. Compound AM2Cl5 exist with A = Rb, Tl, K. The compounds K2EuCl4 and K2SrCl4 are related to the Th3P4 structure. Consequently the M2+ ions occupy octahedral holes only in the 1:1 compounds, in the other compounds their coordination number is greater. - Magnetic susceptibilities and solution enthalpies of the double chlorides were measured.
