Description / Table of Contents: Investigations on Metal Catalysts. XXI. Physico-chemical Characterization of Pt—Ru and Pt—Ru/η-Al2O3 CatalystsPt—Ru samples were prepared by reduction of mixtures of ammonium compounds (cp. „Inhaltsübersicht“) by means of H2. Impregnation method was applied in the preparation of η-Al2O3 supported catalysts (series A: H2[PtCl6] and H2[RuCl6], series B: (NH4)2[PtCl6] and „Ruthenium-red“).The samples were characterized by DTA, X-ray measurements, N2 adsorption and CO chemisorption, resp. The influence of the composition of the bimetallic crystallites on the dispersion and the sorption behaviour with respect to CO is discussed.
