β-(Bis-phenyl-arsino)-ethyl-pyridine-(2) (DPAsÄP) gives with Co(II) and Zn halides 1,2-complexes having only the pyridine nitrogens as ligand atoms. In the Cu(I) complexes [Cu(DPAsÄP)2] [CuX2] (X = Cl Br), however, also the arsine group is co-ordinated. Both these co-ordination types are found for Ni(II) 1,1- and 1,2-complexes.The complexes are compared with the chelates of β-(bis-phenyl-phosphino)-ethyl-pyridine-(2).
Notes:
β-(Bis-phenyl-arsino-)-äthyl-pyridin-(2) (DPAsÄP) bildet mit Kobalt(II)- und Zink(II)-halogeniden 1,2-Komplexe, in denen die Bindung nur über den Pyridinstickstoff erfolgt. Dagegen wird in den von den Kupfer(I)-halogeniden abgeleiteten Verbindungen [Cu(DPAsÄP)2][CuX2] (X = Cl oder Br) auch die Arsingruppe koordinativ wirksam. Vom Nickel(II) lassen sich sowohl 1,1-als auch 1,2-Komplexe des DPAsÄP herstellen, die sich in Abhängigkeit von den zusätzlich vorhandenen anionischen Liganden hinsichtlich des koordinativen Verhaltens teils den Kupfer(I)-, teils den Kobalt(II)-Komplexen anschließen. Es werden Vergleiche mit den Chelaten des β-(Bis-phenyl-phosphino)-äthyl-pyridins-(2) angestellt.
