The IR and RAMAN spectra of (CH3)2(CH2X)SiH [X = Cl, Br, J], (CH3)2(CHX2)SiH [X = Cl] and (CH3)(CH2X)2SiH [X = Cl] are reported, and the frequencies assigned. A simple relation exists between the frequence of the SiH stretching vibration and the rate constant of the bromination of the SiH bond.

Für die Verbindungen (CH3)2(CH2X)SiH [X = Cl, Br, J], (CH3)2(CHX2)SiH [X = Cl] und (CH3)(CH2X)2SiH [X = Cl] werden die IR- und RAMAN-Spektren mitgeteilt und die Frequenzen zugeordnet. Es besteht eine einfache Beziehung zwischen der SiH-Valenzfrequenz und der Geschwindigkeitskonstante für die Bromierung der SiH-Bindung.
