    Notes: The preparations of the 3:1 hydroxide halides Me2(OH)3Cl, -Br and -I of Mg, Ni, Cu, Co, Fe and Mn are described, and the corresponding X-ray data registered. The following structures were found: Layer structures: (a) C6 type [α-Mg2(OH)3Cl, α- Ni2(OH)3CI, α-Co2(OH)3Cl, α-Fe2(OH)3CI, α-Mn2(OH)3Cl]; (b) Botallackite type [α-Cu2(OH)3Cl (= synth. Botallackite), Cu2(OH)3Br, Ni2(OH)3Br, α-Co2(OH)3Br, Fe2(OH)3Br, Cu2(OH)3I, Ni2(OH)3I, Co2(OH)3I, Fe2(OH)3I, Mn2(OH)3I].
