Notes: Aus wild wachsender Eugenia caryphyllata (L.) Thunbg. wurde ein neues Chromon, das Eugenitin, isoliert, für das auf Grund von Abbaureaktionen die Struktur I des 2, 6-Dimethyl-5-oxy-7-methoxy-chromons bewiesen wurde. Eugenitin ging mit siedender HJ unter Umlagerung des γ-Pyronringes in das 2,8-Dimethyl-5,7-dioxy-chromon (V) über, welches mit Diazomethan das Isoeugenitin VIII lieferte.
