Preparation and Crystal Structures of two new Lithium Magnesates with Phenylethynyl and Benzyl Ligands: Li2[(PhC≡C)3Mg(tmeda)]2 and [Li(tmeda)2][(tmeda)LiBzl2MgBzl2]The title compounds 1 and 6 as well as the lithium magnesates [Li(tmeda)]2(PhC≡C)4Mg (2) and [Li2(tmhda)](PhC≡C)4Mg (3) (tmeda: Me2N[CH2]nNMe2, n = 2, tmhda: n = 6) have been prepared. The asymmetric unit of Li2[(PhC≡C)3Mg(tmeda)]2 (1) contains a Mg atom with trigonal bipyramidal coordination by three PhC≡C and one tmeda ligands. [Li(tmeda)2]-[(tmeda)LiBzl2MgBzl2] (6) is the first example of a benzyl metalate. The cation [Li(tmeda)2]+ and the anion [(tmeda)LiBzl2MgBzl2]- are clearly separated in the crystal. The latter part contains a Mg atom with distorted tetrahedral coordination by benzyl ligands and an additional (tmeda)Li moiety.
    Notes: Die Titelverbindungen 1 und 6 sowie die Lithium-magnesate [Li(tmeda)]2(PhC≡C)4Mg (2) und [Li2(tmhda)](PhC≡C)4Mg (3) (tmeda: Me2N[CH2]nNMe2, n = 2, tmhda: n = 6) wurden dargestellt. In der asymmetrischen Einheit von Li2[(PhC≡C)3Mg(tmeda)]2 (1) ist das Mg-Atom von drei PhC≡C- und einem tmeda-Liganden trigonal-bipyramidal koordiniert. [Li(tmeda)2]-[(tmeda)LiBzl2MgBzl2] (6) ist das erste Beispiel für ein Benzyl-metallat. Das Kation [Li(tmeda)2]+ und das Anion [(tmeda)LiBzl2MgBzl2]- sind im Kristall klar getrennt. Das Anion enthält ein Mg-Atom mit Benzylliganden in verzerrt tetraedrischer Koordination und eine (tmeda)Li-Einheit.
