Memory Effects and 1,3-Diazepine Ring Closure in Arylnitrenium Ions15N- and 18O-Labelling experiments demonstrate that in the aromatic rearrangement of N,N′-diphenyl-N-(4-tosyloxy)benzamidines (2→3→6) a strong memory effect occurs in oriented contact ion pairs. - The formation of 1,3-diazepines 9, by ring closure between C-o- and -o′ in the N,N′-aryl substituents provides a new approach to this system.

Für die aromatische Umlagerung von N,N′-Diphenyl-N-(4-tosyloxy)benzamidinen (2→3→6) zeigen Untersuchungen an 15N-bzw. 18O-induzierten Edukten: intermediär werden orientierte, enge Ionenpaare durchlaufen, in denen ein starker Memory-Effekt auftritt. - Der 1,3-Diazepin-Ringschluß, der im Arylnitrenium-Ion durch Verknüpfung der o-und o′-C-Atome der N,N′-Arylsubstituenten erfolgt, stellt einen neuen Zugang zu diesem System 9 dar.
