Synthesis and Spectra of Two Novel CatenanesIn multi-step reaction sequences the precatenanes 23b, c are synthesised. After breaking the chemical bonds between the aromatic nuclei and the bridge head atoms of the double bridged system the [2]-catenanes 25b, c are obtained. The 13C NMR and mass spectra of the precatenanes and catenanes are discussed.

In mehrstufigen Reaktionsfolgen werden die Praecatenane 23b, c synthetisiert. Nach Spaltung der chemischen Bindungen zwischen den aromatischen Kernen und den Brückenkopfatomen des Doppelbrücken-Systems werden hieraus die [2]-Catenane 25b, c hergestellt. Die 13C-NMR- und Massenspektren der Praecatenane und Catenane werden diskutiert.
