Heats of Hydrogenation, I. Heats of Hydrogenation by Isothermal Titration CalorimetryThe method for the measurement of heats of hydrogenation by an isothermal titration calorimeter is described. The heats of hydrogenation of five typical olefins are compared with published values. For 16 olefins and the corresponding saturated alkanes „first“ integral enthalpies of solution in acetic acid, methanol, and cyclohexane are reported.

Die Methode zur Bestimmung von Hydrierwärmen mit einem isothermen Titrationskalorimeter wird beschrieben. Die Hydrierwärmen von fünf repräsentativen Olefinen werden mit Literaturwerten verglichen. Für 16 Olefine und die dazugehörigen gesättigten Alkane werden erste Lösungsenthalpien in Eisessig, Methanol und Cyclohexan angegeben.
