    Description / Table of Contents: The Vilsmeier Reaction of Acylated Pyrroles Containing Enolizable CO-Groups:. A Synthesis of Cycl[3.2.2]azine Derivatives (Pyrido[2,l,6-cd]pyrrolizines)The Vilsmeier reaction of acylated pyrroles containing enolizable CO-groups results in the formation of chloro-olefins, formylation reactions occurring subsequently. This has been substantiated in the cases of 2-acetylpyrrole and 2,3-dihydro-lH-pyrrolizin-l-one (3). 3 at -50°C yields the salt 5 and at 0°C the trisubstituted derivative 6. 5 may be transformed to 7 by dimethyl-thioformamide in boyling acetic anhydride. Analogous Vilsmeier salts 8 and 9 have been obtained from 2-benzoyl-3H-pyrrolizine. The structure of the Vilsmeier salts has been deduced from reactions yielding cycl[3.2.2]azine derivatives. 3-Chlorocycl[3.2.2]azine 11c, which cannot be obtained by electrophilic substitution of the parent compound, has been prepared from 5.
    Notes: Die Vilsmeier-Reaktion acylierter Pyrrole mit enolisierbarer CO-Gruppe führt zunächst zu Chlorolefinen; anschließend finden Formylierungsreaktionen statt. Untersucht wurden Reaktionen des 2-Acetylpyrrols und des 2,3-Dihydro-lH-pyrrolizin-l-ons (3). Bei - 50°C entsteht aus 3 das Salz 5, bei 0°C das Trisubstitutionsprodukt 6. 5 konnte mit Dimethylthioformamid in siedendem Acetanhydrid in 7 übergeführt werden. Aus 2-Benzoyl-3H-pyrrolizin konnten die analogen Vilsmeier-Salze 8 und 9 erhalten werden. Die Konstitution der Vilsmeier-Salze folgt aus ihrer Umsetzung zu Cycl[3.2.2]azin-Derivaten. Aus 5 konnte 3-Chlorcycl[3.2.2]azin 11c erhalten werden, welches durch elektrophile Substitution der Stammverbindung nicht zugänglich ist.
