Diels-Alder Reactions of 2,3-Bis(trimethylsilyloxy)1,3-dienesDiels-Alder reactions of 2,3-bis(trimethylsilyloxy)-1,3-dienes 2, 3 and 4 with a number of dienophiles afford the desired cycloadducts 7-11, 13-16, and 20-23 containing a 1,2-bis(trimethylsilyloxy)-alkene function which can be transformed in a variety of ways. For example, they react with bromine under mild conditions to form 1,2-diketones. The method is complementary to Scharf's cycloadditions of dichlorovinylene carbonate.

Diels-Alder-Reaktionen von 2,3-Bis (trimethylsilyloxy)-1,3-dienen 2, 3 und 4 mit einer Reihe von Dienophilen liefern die gewünschten Cycloaddukte 7-11, 13-16 und 20-23, die eine abwandelbare 1,2-Bis(trimethylsilyloxy) ethylen-Funktion enthalten. Sie lassen sich z. B. unter milden Bedingungen mit Brom glatt in 1,2-Diketoverbindungen überführen. Die Methode ist komplementär zu den von Scharf beschriebenen Cycloadditionen mit Dichlorvinylencarbonat.
