Investigations on Diazo Compounds and Azides, XXIII. Synthesis of α-Diazophosphinic estersα-Diazophosphinic esters are synthesized by different ways: The diazo compounds 4a-h are obtained by Bamford-Stevens-reaction, 6a-d by diazo group transfer and 10 finally, the basis compound of this series, by amine diazotization. In all cases the starting materials (1a-e, h; 3f, g; 5a-d and 9) are received from dimethoxyphenylphosphine and corresponding halogen compounds by Michaelis-Arbusov-reaction. The diazomethylphosphinic ester 10 adds to carbonyl compounds forming the diazoaldoles 12a - c. With silver oxide 10 is metalated to the silver salt 13, which may be alkylated with SN1-active halides yielding 4f and g.
Notes:
