Synthesis of the Biological Active Undecapeptide Substance P with the Liquid-Phase MethodThe synthesis of the biological active undecapeptide substance P with the liquid-phase method (LPM) is described. The over-all-yield of the synthesis is high and the peptide shows full biological activity. The synthesis demonstrates that the modification of the liquid-phase synthesis, the cristallisation method, enables the preparation of peptides in short time with high yield and purity.

Die Synthese des biologisch aktiven Undecapeptids Substanz P mit Hilfe der neuentwickelten Flüssig-Phasen-Methode (LPM) wird beschrieben. Das Peptid konnte mit hoher Ausbeute und voller biologischer Aktivität dargestellt werden. Das Beispiel zeigt, daß es nach dem modifizierten Verfahren der LPM, der Kristallisationsmethode möglich ist, biologisch aktive Peptide in kurzer Zeit mit guter Ausbeute und Reinheit zu synthetisieren.
