Synthesis of Glucuronides in the Flavonoid-Series, V. The First Synthesis of a Naturally Occurring Flavonoid-diglucuronide (Apigenin-4′,7-di-O-β-D-glucuronide) and the Synthesis of Chrysoeriol-7-mono-O-β-D-glucuronideThe synthesis and thereby confirmation of the structure of natural 4′,5,7-trihydroxyflavone-(apigenin)-4′,7-di-O-β-D-glucuronide (2) was achieved by coupling apigenin with methyl (tri-O-acetyl-α-D-glucopyranosyl bromide)uronate, chromatography on silicagel, followed by total acetylation of the product and subsequent removal of the protecting groups. Similarly natural 4′,5,7-trihydroxy-3′-methoxyflavone(chrysoeriol)-7-mono-O-β-D-glucuronide (7) was synthesized.

Durch Kupplung von Apigenin mit α-Acetobromglucuronsäure-methylester, Chromatographie an Kieselgel, Darstellung des Vollacetates und anschließende Verseifung wurden natürlich vorkommendes 4′,5,7-Trihydroxyflavon(Apigenin)-4′,7-di-O-β-D-glucuronid (2) und auf ähnlichem Wege 4′,5,7-Trihydroxy-3′-methoxyflavon(Chrysoeriol)-7-mono-O-β-D-glucuronid (7) synthetisch dargestellt und in ihrer Struktur bewiesen.
