Notes: Bei der Kondensation von Methyläthylketon mit Paraformaldehyd nach S. OLSEN1) bleibt die Ketogruppe nicht erhalten. Von den Reaktionsprodukten konnten das Diformal des 5-Methyl-3.3.5-trimethylol-tetrahydropyranols-(4)(I), daneben das Formal des 5-Methyl-3.3-dimethylol-tetrahydropyranons-(4) (II) isoliert werden. 1.1.3.3-Tetramethylol-butanon-(2) (VIII), das als Zwischenprodukt der Reaktion in Frage kommt, wurde synthetisiert.
